Delivering high-image resolution has always been vital and therefore sports a 1920 x 1080 native resolution while supporting DCI and UHD 4K, as well as Full HD and 720p.
The Atomos NEON 17 4K HDR Monitor/Recorder provides really quick review and real-time playout with Dolby Vision to reality test content on domestic TVs. Some powerful and useful features include a calibrated 4K DCI 180-degree perfect view, 10-Bit DCI-P3 100% colour coverage, and 1 000 000:1 HDR-ready contrast for cinematographers to maintain exposure and the creative look.
Cinema and Episodic TV Production
The Atomos NEON 17 4K HDR Monitor/Recorder is a powerhouse field monitor that provides an online and offline workhorse to speed up the time from idea to final exhibition. The field monitor enables cinematographers to record online quality of ProRes RAW recording while integrating into the ARRI workflows; and directors are capable of recording at a much lower bitrate offline quality on the Atomos NEON 17 4K HDR Monitor/Recorder, where you can get over 20 hours of footage in Prores/DNx/H.2.65 on an SSD (while the ARRI is recording online quality).
Remote Control for Simple Operation
The Atomos NEON 17 4K HDR Monitor/Recorder can simply be Bluetooth controlled when downloading the Atomos iOS App or even when using the actual remote control. When utilising the App from your device, you have access to real-time production tools including focus peaking, exposure, calibration, zoom, waveform monitor, RGB monitor, vector scope and LUT selection.
Record 12-Bit RAW for Accurate Dolby Vision HDR
Atomos and Dolby has teamed up to engineer the Atomos NEON 17 4K HDR Monitor/Recorder powerhouse, providing Dolby Vision live HDMI out, in real-time, from SDI or HDMI HDR cameras. This can simply be done when connecting your Dolby Vision capable TV or monitor to your Atomos Neon 17" Monitor/Recorder - which the AtomosOS will automatically then analyse the image, queries the TV, and applies the correct colour and brightness profiles to get out the best HDR image on your display or TV.
Sync all your Neon Monitors/Recorders Together
When in studio or on-set, filled with more than just one Atomos NEON 4K HDR Monitor/Recorder. You'll be ables to sync all of them up, simply by connecting them all up via the Atomos iOS App. However, you can also sync the Neons to any Atomos Ninja V using an AtomX Sync Module attached. This will be a big advantage for any production with a multi camera setup. This also captures all Meta-Data for the entire production in every file recorded, to prevent the need for a sidecar file.
