Shoot HDR with Log cameras
AtomHDR image processing lets you shoot with the high brightness range of your camera’s Log profile while maintaining vibrant true-to-life colors. Conventional monitors lack this capability, displaying the brightness detail of Log but with a washed out image that makes judging exposure difficult. Be at the forefront of the HDR revolution by having a field monitor capable of resolving HDR in the field as you see it in Post Production and record the original Log image direct from the sensor for HDR grading in post production.
On Set / DIT
Shogun Studio in the rack of a DIT cart arms the set with the fastest path from acquisition to editing by recording direct to 10-bit 422 ProRes or DNxHR, The 3RU chassis provides dual record channels and class leading monitoring with test measurement for the highest quality 4K/2K/HD recording and setup.
For color analysis, the RGB and Vector scopes provide real time feedback and can be overlaid in several positions on the color accurate 7.1” 323ppi Full HD monitor. You can double check focus pulls with 2:1 zoom, focus peaking with edges only view and 8 LUT slots on board plus an infinite number on disk. These decisions can be made with the confidence you are using a 100% sRGB factory calibrated monitor that can be calibrated in the rack using the optional Spyder unit. Outside of monitoring, DIT’s can start the editing process on set with favorite and reject tagging to start the formation of play lists and edit decisions for XML export.
4K 60P & HD 240P RECORDING
Shogun Inferno records to high frame rate and professional 10-bit 4:2:2 ProRes & DNxHR demanded by post production.
CDNG Raw over Quad SDIOutput Raw from select cameras and record to your choice of CDNG, Apple ProRes or DNxHR.
The Shogun Studio automatically switches channels when the disk is full without any down time in recording
Simple interface with powerful tools
The Shogun Inferno is packed with an extensive suite of scopes, all 1-touch away and simple to use. The Video OS includes tools for focus, framing & exposure (Focus peaking, 2:1/1:1 zoom, Zebra, False Color, Safe Area, luma/RGB parade, vectorscope) along with a flexible 3D LUT implementation (use built-in LUTs or upload .cube files) and options for de-squeezing anamorphic content.
Monitor & Record XLR Audio
The Shogun Inferno has multiple audio options replacing the need for a separate audio recorder. Monitor up to 8ch of embedded HDMI audio, up to 12ch of SDI audio or use the included XLR breakout cable to connect with external microphones for balanced analogue audio with 48V phantom power.
Advanced Recording Capability
Outside of RAW and high frame rate 4:2:2 Apple ProRes / AVID DNxHR recording, the Shogun Inferno adds recording functionality not found in other recorders. Trigger start/stop recording over HDMI or SDI popular cameras, convert interlace to progressive signals on the fly with built-in 3:2 and 2:2 pulldown or use features like Pre-roll (continuous cache recording) and Time lapse to maximise your creativity.
