Last week DJI announced their two new additions to the Mavic family; the DJI Mavic 2 Pro and the Mavic 2 Zoom. Let’s see what gear guru, Casey Neistat has to say about the new generation of DJI Mavics…

Casey Neistat knows a thing or two about drones, which fans of his YouTube channel are very familiar with and tune in regularly for his breathtaking drone footage which brings the world to our screens. Neistat is such a drone fanatic in fact that he’s developed his very own rating system where drones are rated on a scale of quality vs price. This scale helps Neistat to review and make recommendations on the latest drone releases, it’s worth mentioning that none of the drones already on this scale are near the coveted ‘sweet spot’. Could this space be waiting for the new DJI Mavics? You’ll have to watch to find out!

Neistat and his team of YouTubers (did you see local Dan Mace’s appearance?) head out to Coney Island to test fly the just-released DJI Mavic 2 Pro and Mavic 2 Zoom over New Yorks’s coastal town. All in all, we’re very impressed with the footage from both the DJI Mavic 2 Pro and DJI Mavic 2 Zoom, especially when compared to the DJI legacy drones flown at the end of Neistat’s review as a reference point.

Neistat’s clearly very impressed with DJI’s drones and ends his latest video by saying,

” When it’s time to buy a drone, it’s not – do you buy a DJI drone, but which DJI drone do you buy? “

You’ll have to watch Neistat’s video to see where they place on his drone rating scale and to see why the DJI Mavic 2 Zoom may, in his own words become his go-to drone.

If you liked what you saw why not give Neistat’s YouTube channel a follow and always be up-to-date with what’s happening. We’ve mentioned him many times before, but if you haven’t jumped on the Dan Mace train yet be sure to show this local videographer’s channel some love here.
