The Canon 6D Mark II incorporates a 26.2MP Full-Frame CMOS sensor. The sensor's large size and pixel area includes many benefits over smaller APS-C cropped sensors; benefits usualy include better low light performance, no cropping on lenses, and better dynamic range. Additionally, the large pixel count on the 6D sensor will provide ample room for cropping and recomposing.
The Canon 6D Mark 2 incorporates Canon's latest DIGIC 7 image processor. The processor actively reduces noise, corrects colours and lens anomalies, and provides enough processing power to the body to shoot Full HD at 60p or continuous shooting at up 6.5fps.
The new full-frame sensor and DIGIC 7 processor provides the 6D Mark II with an excellent standard light sensitivity range of ISO 100-40000 and an extended ISO of 102400. The wide ISO range and fast Canon F-mount lenses available will enable users to shoot flash-free in almost any lighting condition.
The Canon EOS 6D Mk II can record Full HD video internally at up to 60 frames per second in a high quality high bit-rate mp4 format. Videographers can also enjoy full control over audio levels and capture professional quality sound thanks to a microphone input.
The camera features a flexible 45 point all cross-type AF system. When used with a compatible lens, each focus point is an f/5.6 cross-type, which ensures the camera can lock on to both horizontal and vertical detail quickly and precisely . The technology delivers accurate, fast autofocus and tracking over a wide area and across a range of subjects. Designed to shoot in a range of lighting conditions, with a variety of lens and extender combinations, the AF system is sensitive down to -3EV (moonlight ). It contains 27 f/8 compatible AF points (9 f/8 cross-type) and one extra sensitive f/2.8 and f/5.6 dual cross-type point in the centre. For optimum flexibility, users have the choice of selecting 4 AF zone modes, which are superimposed in the viewfinder and can be quickly selected using the area selector button next to the shutter release.
The Canon EOS 6D Mk 2 features an digital 5-axis video stabilisation function that compensates for any sudden or unwanted, yaw, roll, pitch, horizontal, or vertical movement for a smooth/sharp en result; this means that ist possible to shoot hand-held videos with smooth movement transitions. The feature works with both non-IS and IS Canon lenses, and will perform slightly better on IS lenses.
The 6D Mark II features Dual Pixel CMOS AF when shooting in live view or recording video. The Dual Pixel CMOS AF system integrates two separate photodiodes within each pixel to provide a dense array of phase-detect points across the image sensor for fast and accurate focus. Dual Pixel CMOS AF is now also possible with all EF lenses and can be used in combination with continuous shooting during Live View.
The Canon EOS 6D Mark II features a 3-inch LCD screen with swivel, tilt and touch functionality. By swivelling and tilting the screen users will easily be able to compose when vloging, shooting selfies, or shooting from high/low angles; while the touch screen functionality will enable easy menu navigation, media playback and focus selection.
Users can connect to the cameras own wireless hotspot or bluetooth by using either using the supplied EOS Utility software or the downloadable Canon Camera Connect App. When connected user will be able to get a live view, trigger the camera, and effortlessly transfer MP4's and JPEGs.
