Built-in to the compact Canon 850D camera is a large 24.1MP CMOS APS-C Sensor that allows photographers to high-resolution image quality with fine details and dynamic, rich colours from the deepest of reds to emerald greens to lush blues and purples. The powerful image sensor also allows users to capture astonishing 4K video with confidence.
The Canon 850D camera sports a powerful DIGIC 8 Image Processor that enables a variety of functions of the camera such as recording beautiful 4K video; low noise levels; an ISO of 100-25600 and an expandable ISO of up to 51200, and will still retain sharpness and clarity.
Record stunning 4K video @ 30 fps, and enjoy better quality that's four times the resolution of Full HD. The 4K function ensures that clarity is top priority, and having it set in 4K also allows remarkable time-lapse videos once you you hit the dedicated Time-lapse Movie mode. Contrast AF is used for 4K UHD movies.
All thanks to a powerful and intelligent DIGIC 8 Image Processor, the Canon EOS 850D is capable of performing really quickly by capturing multiple shots of a speed of up to 7 fps (or up to 7.5 fps with live view shooting).
With all its cutting-edge technology incorporated into this amazing body that provides outstanding image quality, Canon has also provided users with the Dual Pixel CMOS AF to achieve a really fast, and accurate autofocus system. This will help you to capture the photo exactly the way you want it , all thanks to an expansive focus area of approx. 88% horizontal and 100% vertical when working with select compatible EF and EF-S lenses. With advanced algorithms put into place, the Canon EOS 850D's Eye Detection AF (during Live View shooting) analyses the image and automatically it will determine where it should focus, which is via the subject's eyes.
Built-in to the design of the 850D from Canon is a funky 3.0-inch vari-angle LCD touchscreen which is ideal for shooting high or long angle shots, as well as for reviewing your photos really quickly and for zooming in or swiping through images. The vari-angle touch screen is also ideal for capturing selfies, as you can easily flip the screen to be facing you.
Having an optical viewfinder with 45-point All Cross-type AF System ensures that photographers can easily focus onto your subject without struggling. The All Cross-type AF System even allows you to capture moving or small subjects in your desired composition, and also being perfect for when capturing fast-moving subjects.
Powered into the lightweight Canon 850D is an advanced 220 000-Pixel AE Sensor which is of great use, as it contributes to the camera's impressive AF performance for both stills and video. It also features Canon's powerful Intelligent Tracking and Recognition System (EOS iTR AF) that automatically detects and tracks the person's face while looking through the viewfinder, which will automatically then change the AF point to optimise face tracking.
Canon has incorporated various operating controls, such as dials and buttons on the rear of the Canon 850D, making it easy for users to operate the camera. The controls have been put into place to provide an improved operation, so that you can concentrate on what you're shooting, even when framing through the viewfinder. Additionally, the AF-ON is of a great advantage and helps you to keep track of fast moving subjects so that you'll never ever have to miss an important shot; and settings can easily be changed by quickly turning the control dial.
Built-in to the 850D camera from Canon is Bluetooth connectivity, allowing photographers to easily pair their camera and smart device via the free Canon Camera Connect app. It also uses low-energy wireless connection, in order to save battery life while allowing remote control of the camera. The Bluetooth connection also allows the camera to continuously send updated GPS location data from your smart device.
However, the Wi-Fi connection has been put into place to transfer images over really quickly to your smart device within no time, all via the Camera Connect app.
