A brand new, and the very first BSI X-Trans CMOS 4 to feature in the Fujifilm X-T3 Mirrorless Digital Camera, being the fourth generation sensor in the X Series. The X-Trans CMOS 4 sensor utilises a unique colour filter array, identical to the X-Trans CMOS sensors, to have full control over moir and false colour without the use of an optical low-pass filter. This sensor is designed to boost and to bring out the best image quality while maintaining a high S/N ratio. An ISO of 160, that was an extended ISO, is now part of the normal ISO range.
The Fujifilm X-T3 utilises the latest technology with a X-Processor 4 - an advanced version of the X Series image processor, that contributes effectively towards faster processing, enhanced autofocus system, high quality image, and even better 4K video quality with a diverse range of video functions. The X-Processor maximises the full potential of the X-Trans CMOS 4 sensor to deliver high performance throughout all the capabilities of the Fujifilm X-T3.
The Fuji X-T3 features a very impressive internal 4K & DCI 4K 60p video recording in 10 bit 4:2:0. 10bit color depth has over 1 billion colours, 64 times the color information compared to traditional 8bit videos.
Supported video formats include the widely-used H.264/MPEG-4 AVC as well as H.265/HEVC for greater data compression. This enables 200Mbps bitrate recording when shooting 4K/60P 4:2:0 10bit, or 400Mbps bitrate recording at up to 4K/30P.
4K 59.94p/50p has a recording limit of approximately 20min; and 4K 29.97p/25p/24p/23.98p a limit of approximately 30min
Video can be output via HDMI during recording, allowing you to simultaneously check footage on the camera's LCD/EVF and an external monitor. The uncompressed data can even be recorded onto an external recorder as you record internally onto an SD card.
Thanks to a new sensor and new quad core image processor, the Fujifilm X-T3s sensor read speed is about 1.5 times faster than previous models. The combination of both technologies enables a fast readout speed of just 17msec when recording 4K/60P video. This greatly reduces shutter distortion for even smooth filming.
The X-T3 camera also features a 3.5mm microphone jack for higher quality audio recording. Users who want to monitor their audio will be happy to know that a headphone jack can be found on the body as well.
Users can choose log gamma "F-Log" to record a wider dynamic range than in normal video mode.
At the end of 2018 Fujifilm will make Hybrid Log Gamma (HLG) recording available via a firmware update. Hybrid Log Gamma (HLG) is one of the formats defined in the ITU-R BT.2100 international standards. In response to user feedback, the firmware update will also allow the X-T3 to simultaneously output Film Simulation and F-Log footage, further expanding its video functions
Film Simulation modes are available during video recording. Movie shooters can enjoy extra creativity, without the need for lengthy post-production, including monochrome video in ACROS and documentary-themed tones in CLASSIC CHROME.
A large 3.69-million-dot high resolution electronic viewfinder (EVF) is incorporated onto the Fujifilm X-T3 Mirrorless Camera, with a superb magnification of 0.75x and a display time lag of only 0.005 seconds, and a refresh rate of approximately 100 fps leading to really smooth display and youll be able to accurately recognize subject movements and the focus positions.
The powerful sensor allows the Fujifilm X-T3 to have AF/AE-tracking with blackout-free continuous shooting of up to 30 fps in approximately 16.6MP quality (1.25x crop), when utilising the electronic shutter. However, it still maintains a smooth Live View of 60 fps to track your subject.
The film simulation mode gives you an option of selecting from 16 different modes, where you can match your photographic intention in a specific way to give it a that film effect where colour tones and gradations can be altered, with options of Velvia/Vivid, Classic Chrome, Astia/Soft, Monochrome, and many more.
A much-improved phase detection autofocus, that now covers the entire frame of 100% with a 2.16M phase detection pixels. Fujifilm has extended the low-light autofocus sensitivity which is really impressive, from -1EV to -3EV to enable a much better high-speed AF in lower light conditions.
A much better performance will be seen with the face-detection Autofocus on a moving person as its been doubled, and the eye-detection AF is available in AF-C mode, maintaining precise focus-tracking with portraits. The face and eye detection perform exceptionally well, as it focuses precisely when capturing people from the side or front position.
No longer do you have to use the optional vertical grip to get more frames per second with the Fujifilm X-T3, as with the mechanical shutter you can achieve 11fps continuous shooting when using just the body.
The Fujifilm X-T3 camera makes use of a 3-inch touchscreen colour LCD monitor that offers higher contrast than before, a wider viewing angle for intuitive live view shooting, playback and review and lets not forget, it can even tilt in 3 different directions.
The Fujifilm X-T3 cameras features has improved with its dials and buttons, as it inherits the Fujifilm X-H1s features such as the large top-panel / rear-panel buttons, along with its comfortable clicking touch right at your fingertips of the front and rear command dials.
You can have your Fujifilm X-T3 camera and your smartphone/tablet device constantly connected via Bluetooth, enabling automatic transfer of captured images that you can easily then share to friends and family or to upload to social media.
