HOW TO SELECT THE RIGHT
PHOTOGRAPHER FOR YOUR JOB:

Finding the photographer that suits your individual needs can be rather overwhelming to say the least. There’s a sea of talented people out there and finding the person who shares your style, vision and budget can often be a difficult task. The objective here is to provide you with a few tips that might make your decision process a little easier.

TIP 01: UNDERSTANDING OUR RATING & REVIEW SYSTEM

Post New Review

Total Rating

The total rating is a number out of 5, naturally 5 being the highest, and 1 being the lowest rating. The total rating is based on the average rating from all the reviews the photographer received. So it’s important to note how many reviews the photographer has actually received.

Submit Yout Review

Simply enter your name and email and submit your review. The Administrator will be notified and confirm the approval of your review submission.

TIP 02: HAVE A LOOK AT THE PHOTOGRAPHER’S WORK

Not all photographers have the same style. For example, the work of one wedding photographer may differ substantially from the work of another wedding photographer, even if both photographers produce stunning work! So it really depends on the style that works for you.

Make sure you choose a photographer with a well-established portfolio that will give you a good overall idea of their work. Take the time to look through it carefully, because what you see there is what you can expect to receive. Never book a photographer based on other factors and expect them to change their style, because both of you will be disappointed with the final produce.

TIP 03: PERSONAL RESEARCH

Keep in mind that the Orms Directory is only a tool to help simplify the process of finding a photographer. Keep in mind that the Orms Photographer Directory is not a list of photographers recommended or endorsed by Orms. It is up to you to judge each photographer’s work for yourself, and make a decision based on their portfolio. Once you’ve narrowed it down to one or two potential photographers that you like, we encourage you to do your own further research. Google them and make sure you visit their website and social media pages for yourself.

TIP 04: PAY IT FORWARD!

No form of marketing is more valuable than word-of-mouth. Just like you found the review and rating system beneficial, so will others. So take the time to rate the photographer you’ve used. If the service you received was good, or even excellent, make sure you say that. One should always give credit where it’s due.

Perhaps you didn’t quite receive the service you’d hoped for, it’s all right to say that, and it’s part of the reason why the system is in place. When giving feedback, keep calm, stick to the facts, and be constructive. Always keep in mind that what you say might have a profound effect on that person’s business, so be honest, but be fair.
