The Roland V-800HD MKII Video Switcher is designed to deliver impressive high-quality resolutions, it simultaneously supports video resolutions of 1080i, 1080p, 720p, 480i/p and computer data resolutions of up to WUXGA.
The Roland V-800HD video switcher supports 1080p video signals at bit rates as high as 3Gbps which twice the rate of conventional HD, which asserts all vividness of high-realism, high detail camera and computer sources.
The Multi-Format simply means that there’s no need to convert the input source in order to match the video output format, as the built-in scalers up-convert and down-convert all kinds of video source to the optimal resolution.
The Roland V-800HD MKII is an advanced video switcher that’s capable of supporting a large number of inputs, from analog to digital.
With integrated dedicated AUX layer switches, you can easily switch sources that’s connected to the assignable AUX outputs, which is perfect for selecting which source is sent to a confidence monitor or another destination.
The Roland V-800HD MKII makes use of 4:4:4/10-bit internal signal processing, in order to achieve compositing and output without it reducing the high-detail RGB signals driven from a computer. With the 4:4:4/10-bit, it is guaranteed that you’ll receive sharp, unblurred display of video and text, even on a large screens and LED displays – leaving you with impressive high image quality.
A newly developed key has also been included along with the upgrade 4:4:4/10-bit internal signal processing. The Chroma Key gives you the control of adjusting phase range, amount of chroma and other parameters based on HSV colour space that is similar to human chromatic sensation. You’ll also receive exceptionally high-quality and tight chroma key compositing even when using 1080p video sources.
You can monitor the status of all the input sources plus the Program and Preview outputs via the multiviewer output.
The Roland V-800HD MK II resolves the problem of copyright content from being used at live events as the switcher encodes digital output using HDCP mode (High-bandwidth Digital Content Protection), to be displayed on screens which most video swithers are not compatible of.
When making use of the shared input function, you can assign the video on channel 1 to channels 2 through 4 and the video on channel 5 to channels 6 through 8. The scaler for each input can zoom into any position in the video image enabling a virtual multi-camera environment. This gives the appearance that you have additional cameras connected.
The MIDI control allow you to interlink the Roland V-800HD MK II with other products such as the V-Mixer console, in order to achieve true “audio follows video” solution and you can even operate two Roland V-800HD MK II video switchers in order to perform switching for 3D video split into two left and right video signals.
