The Rode Broadcaster Large-Diaphragm Cardioid Condenser Microphone is designed specifically for broadcast applications. The 1" gold-plated capsule, low-noise circuitry, and pronounced proximity effect in combination provide the warm and robust tone-worthy sound needed for pro-level productions. The cardioid polar pattern is designed to naturally reject sounds from behind the microphone.
The Rode Broadcaster Large-Diaphragm Cardioid Condenser Microphone additionally features a LED light indicating the "On-Air" status. Additionally, the Broadcaster Mic from Rode features an internal pop filter, so there is no need for a additional screen blocking plosives from entering the capsule.
For Radio, Broadcasts, and Podcasts
The Rode Broadcaster Large-Diaphragm Cardioid Condenser Microphone is a large-diaphragm, end-address condenser microphone providing the best performance in broadcast vocal applications.
Internal Pop Filter
The built-in pop filter is designed to reduce plosive sounds that can overload the microphone capsule that can distort the audio output.
On-Air Indicator
The Rode Broadcaster Large-Diaphragm Cardioid Condenser Microphone features a "On-Air" on the body that can be wired for external activation by the "Channel On/Mute" function on many capsules.
When the indicator is not connected to a console or switch, the indicator remains lit as long as the microphone has power.
