24.2MP Full-Frame Sensor and DIGIC X Processing
Updated Full-Frame Sensor
The Canon EOS R6 Mark II Mirrorless Camera features a new 24.2MP CMOS sensor that is designed to be versatile for both video and photo applications, performing well in low-light conditions, as well as yielding striking and accurate colours.
DIGIC X Processor
Featuring an upgraded DIGIC X Processor is borrowed from the Canon EOS R3, the is ideal for the multimedia nature of the camera. A 6K recording area can also be used for oversampled 4K shooting at 30p for improved sharpness, reduced moiré, and lower noise. Also featuring 180p recording at up to Full HD resolution for slow-motion playback.
HDR-PQ recording is possible, too, for in-camera HDR production and external recording, via the micro-HDMI port, which supports a clean 6K output at up to 60 fps.
External 6K Raw Recording
When paired with a compatible external recorder the Canon EOS R6II Mirrorless Camera is capable of raw video recording using the micro-HDMI port.
Autofocus and Image Stabilization
Dual Pixel CMOS AF II
The Canon EOS R6 Mark II Mirrorless Camera features an Advanced Dual Pixel CMOS AF II system featuring 1053 automatic AF points that cover the entire sensor area and provide notably fast, responsive, and precise focusing performance.
The advanced phase-detection focusing system features additional subject detection that is benefitted by deep learning technology that has the capability of tracking and locking onto subjects and maintaining sharp focus while shooting in both burst and video recording. These subjects include people, animals, as well as vehicles.
Dual Pixel AF II's low-luminance limit focuses down to an impressive -6.5 EV for accurate focusing even in nighttime conditions.
Sensor-Shift Image Stabilizer
An in-body image stabiliser (IBIS) corrects up to 7 Stops of camera shake especially when shooting handheld. EVF and Vari-Angle Touchscreen LCD
The 3.69m-dot 0.5" electronic viewfinder enables well-detailed and bright eye-level viewing, and with a quick 120 fps refresh rate offers a more realistic viewing experience is offered with natural motion rendering.
Featuring a 3.0" 1.62m-dot LCD touchscreen that also features a vari-angle design that benefits front-facing recording like vlogging. As well as with the screen being able to be used at various angles you can use the camera at different angles.
The refined body design incorporates four distinct control dials across the body for intuitive tactile control and a joystick controller is used on the back of the camera for fast and intuitive focus point selection and menu navigation.
