PERSONAL ASSISTANT TO GENERAL MANAGER OF ORMS PRINT ROOM & FRAMING
Job Title: Personal Assistant to General Manager of Orms Print Room & Framing
Based At: ORMS Print Room & Framing
MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB ROLE: Personal Assistant to support all aspects of the General Managers’ (GM) work by planning, organizing and anticipating requirements well in advance to support the smooth running of the business whilst providing high-level administrative support.
SUMMARY OF JOB DESCRIPTION:
- Acting as a point of contact among employees, clients and other external partners
- Manage the GM’s calendars and set up meetings
- Prepare and review documentation
- Assist in preparation of reports and other documents by collecting and analyzing information
- Screen all incoming phone calls, inquiries, visitors, and correspondence - route accordingly
- Manage office administrative work requiring the use of independent judgment and initiative
- Provide direct administrative support to the GM
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with set deadlines
- Establish and maintain effective information and filing management systems
- Prioritize incoming E-mails and messages and ensure correct and timeous response. Flagging important emails to the GM. Take self-initiative to process common emails
- Organise meetings and ensure proper notifications of appointments and actions to all relevant parties
- Manage a daily diary
- Follow up on actions required by GM and other employees
- Drafting of correspondence on behalf of GM when needed
- Assist with additional administrative duties like typing, photocopying, printing, scanning, etc.
MINIMUM EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION REQUIRED TO PERFORM JOB:
- Matric with preferably a tertiary qualification
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Two (2) years working experience in a support role
- Excellent communication (verbal and writing) skills. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
- Proficiency in English and in MS Office

STOCK CONTROLLER
Job Title: Stock Controller
Department: Orms Print Room & Framing
RESPONSIBLE FOR:
Daily stock control of large format printing and framing stock.
Procurement, goods receipting and distribution, interbranch transfers, maintaining of stock rooms/storage areas, daily organisational administration.
Arrange returns with suppliers.
Capturing stock movements on system.
Regular stock takes & variance reports, weekly and monthly reporting.
MINIMUM EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION REQUIRED TO PERFORM JOB:
- Basic accounting knowledge
- Computer literate, MS Outlook & MS Excel
- Grade 12 with Mathematics (or higher)
- Must know and have an outstanding understanding of stock and stock movements.
- Minimum of 2 years experience in Production/Manufacturing Industry.

PART TIME LECTURERS: PHOTOGRAPHY OR CINEMATOGRAPHY
Job Title: Part Time Lecturers: Photography or Cinematography
Based at: ORMS Cape Town School of Photography
Orms Cape Town School of Photography provides photographic and cinematography training and education through Part-Time courses, workshops and seminars as well as a four-month Bootcamps.
We are looking to draw from a skills-diverse and vibrant collective of part time lecturers. We are looking for experienced lecturers who are passionate about photography and /or cinematography teaching. We would like to invite you to join us in our space and contribute to the learning of photographic / cinematography experience for our students.
Teaching slots include week day mornings, afternoons and evenings and in some cases - weekend workshops that include Saturday mornings.
We are specifically looking to further extend our lecturer pool to be innovative and up-to-date with the new trends of photography and /or cinematography.
