It provides you with multiple 1/4"-20 and ARRI 3/8"-16 threads along with a NATO rail allowing the attachment of secondary monitors and many other accessories increasing the recording quality of your camera. On top of the SmallRig Half Cage, you will find a cold shoe mount creating an additional mounting point for accessories such as a monitor or wireless receiver.

The SmallRig Half Cage for Sony a7R V / a7 IV / a7S III / a1 / a7R IV is made from aluminium alloy, steel, and silicone on the bottom to prevent damage to your camera body. The design still allows for full access to all buttons and controls on the camera. This Half Cage features an Arca-Type baseplate with a 1/4"-20 screw and locking side plate to secure the camera in place and allows for smooth transitions from handheld to tripod or compatible gimbal mounting.
