The Leica Q2 Reporter Digital Camera continues the long tradition of Leica cameras geared for the challenging working environments of reporters and press photographers.
Leica equipped the Leica Q2 Reporter Digital Camera with Kevlar body armour, which is perfectly complemented by a matte green finish, making it particularly scratch and abrasion resistant. The Kevlar is near black, but exposure to natural UV rays will gradually change its tone till it closely matches the camera green paint finish.
The Leica Q2 Reporter Digital Camera is designed in such a way that neither the user's purpose nor the camera's true value is immediately apparent. With the red Leica Logo removed from the front and the operating elements discreetly inlaid.
The Leica Q2 is a full-on redeveloped compact camera, featuring enhanced features such as its superb performance and connectivity,, and its newly developed 47.3MP CMOS full-frame sensor & Maestro II Image Processor to deliver only the best of image quality and to perform high-end functions.
Creating this tasteful, high-resolution images you have an extremely fast Summilux 28mm f/1.7 ASPH prime lens attached to the sophisticated Leica Q2, performing well in low-light condition and also provides fast autofocus, regardless of the environment you are in. Core features of this sophisticated, advanced kit allows you to do both DCI and UHD 4K video recording; enjoy high-resolution imaging through the 3.68MP OLED electronic viewfinder or on the rear 3.0 1.04m-dot LCD touchscreen; adopts the exact same battery that features in the SL mirrorless camera meaning longer battery life, thus making it perfect for street and travel photography; built-in Bluetooth LE and WiFi that enables you to share and to easily remote control your camera, simply through your mobile device via the Leica FOTOS app.

Thanks to amazing and powerful Maestro II Image Processor, makes it possible for Leica Q2 to record in 4K video mode with a resolution of 3840 x 2160 pixels and frame rates of 30 or 24 fps leaving you with striking video quality. In addition to all of this, video footage can also be enjoyed in the familiar full-HD format with 120, 60, 30, or 24 fps (frames per second).
Enhanced Maestro II Image Processor
Powered by the enhanced Maestro II Image Processor, the Leica Q2 Camera will ensure that youll never have to miss a treasured moment as it boosts the autofocus to being much faster, and providing a system that sharply focuses on your subject in 0.15 seconds, being the fastest ever in its class.
Dust and Spray Waterproof Construction
The Leica Q2 Camera is resistant to dust and water spray as it features a protective sealing to the body being the only camera in its class. Street photographers and travellers can enjoy every minute of the day without having to worry of elements damaging the camera.
Fixed Focal Length
Part of the elegant Leica Q2 is the fast Summilux 28mm f/1.7 ASPH prime lens. High-Resolution 3.68MP OLED Viewfinder
