Tamron 85mm f/1.8 Di VC USD Lens Review

We join Deon Joubert from OrmsTV on location find out more about the all new Tamron SP 85mm f/1.8 Di VC USD Lens. Let's take a look...

Deon and the team from OrmsTV recently took the opportunity to test out Tamron's all new SP 85mm f/1.8 Di VC USD Lens. In addition to being an exceptional portrait lens, what sets the Tamron 85mm apart is it's performance under low-light conditions with added stabilisation further increasing sharpness in handheld shots.

The Tamron SP 85mm F/1.8 is the world’s first 85mm fast-aperture full-frame lens with image stabilisation. The unique design allows it to incorporate a VC (Vibration Compensation) system without the lens becoming too large or heavy. What’s more, the SP 85mm F/1.8 delivers edge-to-edge viewfinder brightness for ease of composition and superior low-light performance. The fast aperture of the F/1.8 also offers the perfect balance of subject sharpness and bokeh, that dreamy blur which separates your portrait subject from the background.
