Broadcast-Quality Transitions

The Blackmagic Design ATEM 1 M/E Constellation HD Live Production Switcher (1 RU) offers a wide range of broadcast quality transitions, including mix, dip, wipe, and more. Border colour, border width, position, direction, and a lot more can be customized in the system control menus. Including a powerful digital video effects processor for DVE transitions, which can be used to squeeze the current picture offscreen revealing a new video under it. You will also find a preview transition feature, so you can set up your transitions before you switch it on air.

Built-In DVE

ATEM Constellation features one independent DVE that lets you reposition graphics and create picture-in-picture compositions. You get amazing quality and the DVE supports the position, resize, and scale, all in real-time. The DVE lets you create professional picture-in-picture effects with customizable 3D borders, shadows, and lighting.

Multiview

Configurable to 16, 13, 10, 7, or 4 up view, it includes monitoring of program, preview, inputs, media players, DSK, and clean feed with optional labels and audio meters.

Professional Broadcast Talkback

Featuring built-in talkback, you are able to be in contact with your team. Talkback supports a 5-pin XLR headset connector, plus a rear-mounted RJ45 connector for interfacing with industry-standard talkback systems such as ClearCom or RTS. Media Pool

With the built-in media tool, you are able to store broadcast-quality RGBA graphics as well as animations that can instantly be played back by the two or four media players that simply appear as additional input sources on the unit. This allows you to not have the use of extra SDI inputs for graphics. Holding up to 20 stills and 200 frame animations

Chroma Keyers

For news or virtual set work, ATEM Constellation HD is perfect as it features ATEM advanced keyers for high-quality chroma or luminance keying. The chroma keyer is incredibly powerful and features a colour picker to sample background colours for automatic generation of the key parameters. You get precise controls for edge and flare, and there is even a foreground colour corrector so you can match the "look" of the foreground layer to the background layer, making seamless compositions possible. The keyer can also be used for pattern and DVE keying. You get four ATEM Advanced Keyers.

Upstream Chroma Keyers

The Blackmagic Design ATEM 1 M/E Constellation HD Live Production Switcher features four upstream chroma keyers per M/E row, providing the building virtual sets. For virtual sets, external image processors can be used, or you can even build a fixed camera virtual set by loading pre-rendered still image backgrounds from the media players and media pool.

Multi-Rate 3G-SDI Input

With the multi-rate 3G-SDI input connections the ATEM Constellation is compatible with all types of HD video structures. All HD television standards are supported (720p, 1080i, as well as 1080p formats.
The SDI inputs will also handle embedded audio and mix audio from all video inputs. Plus, the program outputs include talkback, tally, and camera control information. That means you can connect any of the switcher SDI outputs back to the camera for program return, camera control, and talkback.

Audio

The Blackmagic Design ATEM 1 M/E Constellation HD Live Production Switcher (1 RU) - is a world-first that can embrace live professional audio productions. All SDI inputs are connected to a built-in Fairlight audio mixer that features a 6-band parametric EQ, compressor, limiter, noise gate, and expander on each input. The Fairlight audio mixer even has additional inputs for mixing audio from analogue inputs, talkback microphones for voice-over, and more.

ATEM Software Control Panel

The Software Control Panel provides you with total control over your switcher and is included. The switcher enables multiple users to connect via Ethernet and work from different locations of the same event.
The ATEM Software Control also lets you access camera control, audio mixing, media, macro programming, and even control of HyperDeck disk recorders. You can even save the full state of the switcher as XML files, plus all media is backed up from the media pool. You can run the software on Mac or Windows.

Supports Optional Control Panels

The Blackmagic Design ATEM 1 M/E Constellation HD Live Production Switcher's advanced panels feature the industry-standard, familiar M/E style layout. Each of the channels features built-in LCDs for menus as well as customizable illumination colour, a DVE joystick, and a T-bar fader.
