For a truly cinematic look you have a massive full-frame sensor with native 6048 x 4032 enables shooting with a shallow depth of field as well as using anamorphic lenses uncropped.
The 13 stops of dynamic range along with dual native 400 and 3200 ISO entending up to 25,600. This provides stunning, low-noise images in any lighting condition, even bright sunlight to very low light levels.

Cinematic Full-Frame Flexibility

When using the full area of the sensor of the Blackmagic Design Cinema Camera 6K you are offered a unique open-gate 3:2 image, which also enables you to reframe your shots in post-production. The large sensor enables true 6:5 anamorphic without cropping, producing detailed, cinematic widescreen images in higher resolutions than previously possible.
You can use the classic Super35-sized window on the sensor to create an instant close-up of your shot that fits seamlessly with open gate footage.

Advanced Leica L Mount

The Leica L Lens Mount compliments the full-frame sensor while ensuring compatibility with newer as well as older lenses. Leica, Panasonic, and Sigma full-frame lenses are compatible.
Without compromising the image quality, you can also attach Canon EF, ARRI PL or other mounts for wider lens compatibility. The separately available EF adapter enables lens control and data transfer for compatible lenses.

Multiple Resolutions and Frame Rates

The Blackmagic Design Cinema Camera 6K (Leica L) records all standard resolutions and frame rates from HD up to DCI 4K and 6K, with still photos available up to 24.6MP. Video rates include 6048 x 4032 3:2 open gate at 36 fps, 6048 x 2520 2.4:1 at 60 fps, and 4096 x 2160 DCI 4K at 60 fps. Higher frame rates are captured with a windowed sensor at rates up to 2112 x 1184 Super16 at 100 fps. True anamorphic 6:5 at much higher resolutions than other cameras is available using anamorphic lenses in 4838 x 4032 4.8K at 24 fps.

5" LCD Touchscreen

The bright and large HDR 5" touchscreen LCD can be used for framing, focusing, and applying 3D LUTs for monitoring. You will also find status, recording parameters, histograms, peaking, frame guides, levels, and more on the screen overlays.
The tilt function makes it easy to view and adjust your settings, especially when shooting in high- or low-mode.

EFexpress or External Disk Recording | DaVinci Resolve Included

Recording is possible with a CFexpress card (256GB Card captures over an hour of UHD 6K), or externally via its USB-C port to a SSD or flash media disk.
The high speed of the CFexpress cards enables you to edit from them directly using the included BlackMagic Design DaVinci Resolve software.

Gen 5 Color Science

The Blackmagic Design Cinema Camera 6K (Leica L) features the same generation 5 colour science as found in the high-end BlackMagic Design URSA Mini Pro 12K. This camera produces even greater image quality with accurate skin tones and notable colour reproduction in every shot and scene. A new dynamic 12-bit gamma curve is designed to capture more colour data in the highlights and shadows for better-looking images.

Professional Connectors

The range of professional interfaces includes full-size HDMI video output, a USB-C expansion, and 12VDC ports.

Built-In Mics and Pro Audio Inputs

The professional audio supports include two mini=XLR inputs with phantom +48V power, enabling you to record two separate audio tracks. The Four built-in microphones can also be used, these are shock- and wind-resistant with a very low noise floor.
You will also find a 3.5mm stereo input, a playback speaker, as well as a 3.5mm headphone output for live audio monitoring.

Bluetooth Camera Remote Control

The Blackmagic Design Cinema Camera 6K offers Bluetooth camera control from up to 10m that is ideal for boom, jib arm, or any hard-to-reach shooting setups.

Carbon Fiber Composite Build

Additionally, Zoom, high-speed frame rate, setup menus, and playback are available using the conveniently located back panel controls.

Horizontal or Vertical Capture

Now with the CinemaCamera 6 K it is easy to create vertical content, ready for social media. The onscreen HUD display rotates automatically to display frame rates, shutter angle, and frame guides remain easy to view.
Your clips are also automatically tagged as vertical and then easily uploaded to your channel and exported to TikTok and YuoTube.

Power Options

The Blackmagic Design Cinema Camera 6K is powered using Sony L-Series NP-F570 batteries, or the included AC adapter with international plugs. Additionally, the battery can trickle charge via the USB-c expansion port.
