The Blackmagic Design HyperDeck Shuttle HD is designed to enable you to quickly and easily play back video clips. A smaller and compact design allows you to run HDMI video in and out. You can then connect the Blackmagic Design HyperDeck Shuttle HD to your computer, or ATEM switch to control media playback using its large search dial and buttons.
The Blackmagic Design HyperDeck Shuttle HD runs on Blackmagic OS, supporting ProRes and DNx file formats, also compatible with a wide range of editing software such as Premiere Pro, Avid and BlackMagic DaVinci Resolve. You are also able to stream H.264 so services such as YouTube or Vimeo.
It can be used to record video using its SD card slot or USB Type-C output to an optional drive, or you can connect to the Blackmagic MultiDock to record to multiple SSDs. The Ethernet port provides external control and file transfers over a network.
Mastering Recorder
The Blackmagic Design HyperDeck Shuttle HD supports H.264, ProRes, and DNx files, this means you are now able to record in broadcast quality. You will even be able to choose between PCM and AAC audio. So, with the Blackmagic Design HyperDeck Shuttle HD, you get everything needed to send shows to broadcasters and for uploading to streaming services like YouTube.
Traditional Broadcast Deck Controls
With controls similar to a traditional broadcast deck. And the control panel is fast to use due to the ergonomic layout of the keys. Simply by pressing the record button, you are able to instantly start recording a file. The large machined metal search dial supports shuttle, jog, and scroll so you can find clips fast. With the perfect friction, you are able to easily select a clip needed.
Supports SD Cards and UHS-II Cards
You are able to record to common Sd as well as UHS-II cards, this means there is no need for expensive custom media. You are also able to record to external drives via USB Type-C. When using USB disks, if you use a USB hub or Blackmagic MultiDock, you can even record on multiple disks for nonstop recording.
When you are using H.264 your files a very small, so you can get long recordings on a memory card. This means you can record up to 157 hours of H.264 in 1080p59.94 on a 1TB card.
Popular ProRes, DNx, and H.264 Files
The Blackmagic Design HyperDeck Shuttle HD supports broadcast-quality DNx and ProRes file formats along with the most popular codecs in use today. You also get space-saving H.264 when recording in NTSC, PAL, 720p, 1080p plus even true 1080i interlaced formats. That means you get tight 60:1 to 285:1 compression ratios for very small files at full broadcast quality. HyperDeck Shuttle HD supports both ExFAT used on Windows and HFS+ used on macOS disk formatting standards.
Video and Control Connections
The HDMI input can be connected to the BlackMagic ATEM Mini or standard consumer cameras.
Then the HDMI output can be connected to Blackmagic switchers or monitors for presentations as a long-form media player.
HDMI Compatibility with ATEM Mini Switchers
With built-in HDMI input and output, you can connect to consumer cameras, monitors, televisions, video projectors, and even ATEM Mini switchers. The HDMI connections will automatically switch video standards to handle both SD and HD equipment.
Built-In Teleprompter
The Blackmagic Design HyperDeck Shuttle HD features a large teleprompter. You can simply change to teleprompter in the record menu, and files will read standard RTF text files without the need for custom software.
Simple text editors can be used to write text, you are able to move easily between scrips using both the jog and scroll buttons. Now you can live scroll through scrips like a traditional teleprompter.
Network File Transfers
Files are able to be uploaded remotely using simple FTP client software. Built-in 1G Ethernet your file transfer is very fast and can be faster than an SD card media disk.

The innovative Blackmagic OS has been designed for high-performance film and broadcast products, and it manages all functions on HyperDeck Shuttle. Only Blackmagic OS provides instant power on while including powerful features such as video recording, timecode, audio, menu overlays, fast networking, multi-disk media management, and even localization. The menus are overlaid on the video output and include settings to customize your HyperDeck Shuttle HD, plus the menus can be changed to display in either light or dark mode.
Compatible with Software and Streaming Sites
Recording files compatible with all post-production software. When recording in H.264, you are able to upload files direct to streaming services, such as YouTube, Facebook, Vimeo as well as Twitter.
Compatible with Switchers, Disk Docks, and Cameras
The Blackmagic Design HyperDeck Shuttle HD does not include SSD slots. You are able to add Blackmagic a MultiDock 10G to be able to use a regular SSD.
This allows for compatibility with media from other HyperDeck models, furthermore, the Blackmagic Design HyperDeck Shuttle HD will manage multiple disks for you.
