The Blackmagic Design SmartView 4K G3 15.6" DCI 4K Broadcast Monitor with SMPTE 2110 is ideal for broadcast use by supporting both 12G-SDI and SMTPE 2110 IP resolutions up to 4K60. The 4K display, with imaging features like, focus peaking, zoom, aspect ratio markers and tally protocol is perfect fro live productions.

3D LUT Monitoring

The SmartView 4K 3G includes support for 3D LUTs, to avoid washed-out looks of SDI sources that are encoded with log film gamma or an HDR profile. This means you can use a 3D LUT to remap the SDI or 2110 input colour space to the SmartView 4K screen or to add an exciting creative look.
You can also upload 3D LUTs with the SmartView utility and export DaVinci Resolve colour grades as custom LUTs.

Multiple Resolution Support

The inputs on the Blackmagic Design SmartView 4K G3 15.6" DCI 4K Broadcast Monitor with SMPTE 2110 are multi-rate to support lower resolution SD for archive, HD for broadcast, and 2K UHD for feature film use. Support for UHD video standards on both its 12G-SDI and 10G Ethernet-based 2110 IP video inputs.

Front Panel Buttons and Customisable Frame Markers

The panel includes a wide range of front panel monitoring controls including an input button selecting between the two 12D-SDI video inputs and the 2110 IP video input.
Additional controls include brightness, H/V display, blue only, zoom, focus peaking, 3D LUT selection, and up to four on-screen markers.

macOS and Windows Remote Control Software

Download and run the free to-download SmartView utility macOS or Windows software to enable you to make changes or update the software on your Blackmagic Design SmartView 4K G3 15.6" DCI 4K Broadcast Monitor with SMPTE 2110. The monitor name can be changed, or you can select between 3G-SDI level A and B formatting.

Connects Directly to SMPTE 2110 IP Networks

The SmartView 4K fully conforms to the SMPTE‑2110 standard for IP video with both optical fibre and copper 10G Ethernet connections, enabling you to build modern IP video systems. SMPTE‑2110 specifies the transport, synchronization, and description of video, audio, and ancillary data over IP networks for broadcast. This includes support for SMPTE‑2110-20 uncompressed video, the Blackmagic IP codec for high frame rate Ultra HD as well as SMPTE‑2110-21 traffic shaping/timing, SMPTE‑2110-30 audio, and SMPTE‑2110-40 support for ancillary data. Plus the selected video input can be sent out via the 10G Ethernet SMPTE‑2110 IP connection with full support for multicast out to multiple destinations.

Tally Border

With an illuminated coloured border around the image (red for on-air and green for preview), support for Blackmagic SDI Tally Protocol is provided. The same SDI tally standard is used overall ATEM live production switchers, so you can simply connect the monitor to any switcher SDI port to get the image and tally.

Custom Remote Solutions

The Blackmagic Design SmartView 4K G3 15.6" DCI 4K Broadcast Monitor with SMPTE 2110 can easily be integrated to your broadcast system with a powerful remote control protocol. The protocol is easy to learn as it is a text-based protocol that you can even play with using a Telnet client, meaning that you can create custom control solutions on all computer platforms and from embedded hardware such as Rasberry Pi and Arduino.
Full control is offered of LCD brightness, contrast, saturation, tally, input screen and 3D LUT activation.
