The Blackmagic Studio Fiber converter allows you to power and extend the camera up to 2km with the high capacity power supply from the production switcher with a simple SMPTE fiber optical cable which can be applied in television studios, outside broadcast vans and large venues to convert video, audio and control signals for HD and UHD 4K production. It's equipped with a main Ultra HD camera feed plus 3 independent HD return feeds with full access to remote camera control, PTZ, a tracker talkback and ethernet all thanks to the SMPTE fiber cable and a decent size 5-inch LCD screen that sits directly next to the SMPTE fibre connection on the front panel to monitor the signals from the remote camera.
