Streamlines Cable Connections

The Blackmagic Design Videohub Mini 4x2 12G Router allows you to add extra inputs to SDI broadcast equipment without taking up much space. Extra inputs can be added to ATEM Switchers or add input selection to streaming encoders and HyperDeck recorders. These routers are useful, as you can make changes to connections without patching cables in the middle of a job, and you can even connect gear to the front of the panel on the fly.

Front Panel Router Control and Video Patching

Designed for fast bus-cut-style switching, featuring dedicated buttons for outputs and inputs. All the routing control needed can be found in this compact and portable design, where you simply select the destination button and then press the source button.
On the front, you will find 12G-SDi video connections for patching in external gear that will also override the highest rear input connection when video is connected.

Advanced 12G-SDI Connections

The Blackmagic Design Videohub Mini 4x2 12G Router, as with all other VideoHub Minis, features advanced 12G-SDI connections that are multirate and support SD, HD, and UHD video formats up to 2160p60, so you can connect any SD, HD-SDI, 3G-SDI, 6G-SDI, and 12G-SDI equipment.
The 12G-SDI provides high frame rates UHD via a single BNC connection, allowing you to work with all your regular HD equipment. This allows you to seamlessly switch between different video inputs, while the SDI output standard will change automatically.

Clean Switch on Each Video Output

The Clean Switch Function is available on this model to ensure stable video transitions when switching between sources. The feature is set on the outputs, not inputs, because the re-sync processors needed can add or remove frames from the video. This then ensures seamless source changes as you can set a HyperDeck recorder to a non-clean switch direct feed with no extra frames inserted.

Full SDI Re-Clocking

This router features built-in SDI re-clocking on every 12G-SDI input. This generates the video signal to ensure optimal video quality and prevent SDI data errors. This is useful as longer video cables tend to degrade the signal.

Front Panel Emergency Patch Connections

Direct video access can be achieved via the useful 12G-SDI patch connectors. With this feature, you do not need to go to the back of the router and accidentally unplug crucial connections. This is ideal when extra external gear needs to be done in an emergency.

USB Webcam Output

The Blackmagic Design Videohub Mini 4x2 12G Router allows you to live stream directly from the front panel, as the front USB-C port functions as an HD webcam video source. You now have full compatibility with any video software in full resolution 1080 HD quality. The UHD video source will then be down-converted to HD for the webcam output.
SDI live video can be routed into common software like Zoom, Microsoft Teams or Skype. When broadcast-quality presentations are needed, you can stream to software like Open Broadcaster, XSplit Broadcaster, and more.

Remote or Hardware Control

Depending on the needs of the production, the router is connected to a compatible Master Control Pro panel or the Videohub Software for hardware or remote control. Then you can assign different functions to buttons or software settings.

Redundant Power Supply

The Blackmagic Design Videohub Mini 4x2 12G Router power supply via the built-in AC power supply or 12 VDC power connection. This allows you to use a standard wall outlet and an IEC cable or DC power sources to power the unit.
