The Bushnell 12x50 R7 ED Binoculars (Ranger Green) offer premium optics, a steady view, and excellent low-light performance. A clear image with clarity and contrast from edge to edge can be expected. This is achieved via a combination of fully multicoated extra-low dispersion glass lenses, dielectric-coated BAK4 prisms, and the field flattener design.
The Bushnell 12x50 R7 ED Binoculars lenses feature an EXO barrier coating that repels water and dirt, while the IPX7-waterproof housing is nitrogen-filled to prevent unwanted internal fogging from condensation. Included, you will find a Vault Lite chest pack and harness for a secure and comfortable carrying experience.
Optical Performance
The Bushnell 12x50 R7 ED Binoculars feature a 12x magnification with 50mm objective lenses to draw in ample amounts of light for bright views.
All glass elements feature fully ultra-wideband antireflection-coated extra-low dispersion glass for optimal light transmission. The field flattener design creates sharp focus from edge to edge of the image.
Compact Schmidt-Pechan prism light path ensures the optical tubes remain slim for easy handling. A clear image with clarity and contrast from edge to edge can be expected. A combination of fully multicoated extra-low dispersion glass lenses, dielectric-coated BAK4 prisms, and the EXO Barrier on all exterior lens elements ensures a pleasant and comfortable viewing experience.
Use and Handling
To assist in keeping the overall weight low, the R7 binoculars feature an open bridge design, this also allows for a more comfortable grip.
In the box, you will find three interchangeable eyecups, from low for eyeglass wearers, high for those not wearing glasses and winged to block out wind and light. Right-eye locking dioptric correction allows the user to compensate for optical prescription to produce sharper views.
The large centre focusing wheel features a slip-resistant design to make it easy to adjust in colder and wet environments, even while wearing gloves.
