Canon's 12 x 36 IS III use a Porro II Prism design to deliver clear, bright images at high magnification with excellent sharpness and minimal light falloff.

Doublet field-flattener lenses
Doublet lenses corrects the curvature of field, and image quality degradation typical at the edges of the image frame, and delivers a sharp, even view, from corner to corner.

Comfortable

In binoculars, the distance from the eyepoint where the image can be seen without obstruction is known as eye relief. The 12x36 IS III have long eye relief, providing a generous field of view and making the binoculars more comfortable to look through, especially when wearing glasses.
