The Canon CR-N100 4K NDI PTZ Camera with 20x Zoom shares many features of a Canon Camcorder, such as 1/2.3" dual-pixel CMOS sensor, Hybrid AF, the Canon DIG!C DV6 image processor, scene modes, 20x optical zoom, 20x digital zoom, microphone input, and video capture and output up to UHD 4K. The camera also includes NDI|HX and SRT support without requiring a separate license, allowing you to drop the camera into your existing NDI network with minimal configuration.
1/2.3" CMOS Sensor
The Canon CR-N100 4K NDI PTZ Camera features a Canon 1/2.3" UHD 4K CMOS image sensor capable of UHD 4K video capture at 30p and up to 60p in Full HD. This makes the CR-N100 a strong contender for professional use.
Canon's DIGIC DV 6 Processor is needed for the high image quality to be provided. The Processor also assist in advanced and convenient in operability for the CR-N100. This component provides image processing power and speed which enables features such as 4K UHD video acquisition and precise Hybrid AF.
Oversampling HD Processing
To assist content creators in producing detailed FHD video, the full HD recording takes advantage of information acquired by the 4K sensor. This together generates beautiful high-definition full HD video.
Canon 4K UHD Lens
The Canon CR-N100 4K NDI PTZ Camera features 20x optical zoom with wide horizontal viewing angle of 65.6°.
The lens is capable of capturing extensive scenes in tight shooting scenes. Aspheric lens elements are used to achieve 4K image quality while minimising various aberrations over the entire zoom range.
The lens structure of the CR-N100 enables real-time responsiveness in a three-dimensional space, supporting optical image stabilization, which helps keep the image capture stable by minimizing vibration.
Hybrid AF
By using High-Precision Contrast Autofocus along with High-Speed Phase-Difference Autofocus technology the CR-N100 is equipped with "Hybrid AF".
Smooth and Responsive Pan / Tilt Performance
With a PT (Pan, Tilt) mechanism enables multi-step speed changes from high through to low speeds. This provides smooth movements in tandem with the zoom of the lens.
Tally Lamp
The Canon CR-N100 4K NDI PTZ Camera is equipped with a tally lamp, indicating which camera is recording by a light above the lens. This makes it easy for the talent to see which camera to focus on and shoot live feeds.
Four Scene Modes for Impressive Video
The Canon CR-N 100 4K NDI PTZ Camera offer four Scene Modes that are preset and suitable to the desired application. These include:
- Portrait mode: exhibits a blurred background while subject is in sharp focus
- Sports mode: enhances capture of moving objects
- Low-Light mode: enhances capture of bright images, even in dark places
- Spotlight mode: enhances capture of beautiful images of spotlighted objects
As these modes are pre-set, there are no manual configurations needed which takes time to set up, so you can start shooting immediately.
Built-in NDI|HX and SRT Support
Supporting multiple professional protocols for easy integration. NDI|HX is built-in to the camera and provides high image quality, low latency, and ease of implementation.
One Person Operation and Canon XC Protocol
XC Protocol is a IP protocol designed fro Canon production equipment. XC Protocol enables the Canon CR-N100 to be remotely controlled, making it suitable for applications such as sports, music, live events, lecture recording, corporate meeting rooms, video production, and more.
Various Interfaces Supported
IP as well as HDMI output are suitable when capturing UHD 4K at 30p. You will also find an infrared remote included that can be used to control a variety of functions including PTZ, presets, speed, focus, standby, and more.
You will also find a stereo mini-jack microphone terminal for recording high-quality audio.
Add-On Application Support
The Add-On Application System will enable the installation of paid applications directly onto the camera. These applications can then be run without the need for a computer, simplifying operations and setup.
The Auto Tracking Application enables the camera to automatically track the speaker or other specified persons during commercial presentations, lectures and other events. Because visual analysis is performed in-camera, the system achieves excellent tracking capability. In addition to framing a person in the shot, the camera, aided by its high-performance pan/tilt mechanism and the automatic tracking application, can smoothly capture movements of people with satisfying quality for video production.
