The Canon R6 V is capable of shooting 7K RAW up to 60p, oversampled 4K up to 60p, 2K up to 180p, and for fast frame rates up to 4K 120p for slow-motion. For ultra-steady video recording and sharp stills, you will find class-leading 5-axis in-body stabilisation providing up to 7.5 stops of shake reduction. For added flexibility in post, you have the ability to reframe horizontal or vertical shots from a single clip with Open Gate recording, streamlining workflows for a diverse platform.
The Dual Pixel CMOS AF II system built into the Canon EOS R6 V Mirrorless Camera provides intelligent subject detection of people, animals, and vehicles, along with eye detection that ensures razor-sharp focus in the fastest-paced environments. Assisting single operators to achieve results without manual intervention as subjects move around, you are able to register People Priority for up to 10 people.
At the rear of the camera, you will find a 3" Vari-Angle touchscreen, making it easy for you to shoot from different creative angles. A front record button and a vertical tripod socket with a vertical interface are perfect for dedicated mobile and social content.
The Canon EOS R6 V Mirrorless Camera is ideal for short-form video, and it is also well-suited for long-form recording with active cooling and flexible dual-card recording. Alongside the excellent video quality, it also features four-channel audio recording that provides precise control over each input independently.
Alongside the advanced video features, the R6V also features advanced photography features. Capturing high-resolution 32.5MP stills at speeds of up to 40fps and pre-continuous shooting starting before the shutter button is fully pressed. On the outside of the body, you will find a dedicated Photo/Movie Mode Switch that allows you to instantly switch between still and movie mode without the need to navigate complicated menus.
32.5MP Full-Frame Sensor and DIGIC X Processing
At the core of the Canon EOS R6 V Mirrorless Camera is a 32.5MP full-frame CMOS sensor working in conjunction with a DIGIC X image processor. These together capture exceptionally sharp, low-noise imagery in a wide variety of high-quality video formats.
The sensor's 6960 x 4640 resolution allows for 7K raw video recording, as well as 7K oversampling for 4K video with superior detail and colour reproduction.
7K RAW Video Recording
For maximum flexibility in post-production, you will have a wide array of video recording resolutions and formats. Internal 7K30 open gate RAW and 7K60 RAW Light recording formats enable deep 12-bit colour and razor-sharp details that allow for advanced colour grading and precise cropping in post without sacrificing quality.
Custom Picture can be activated using the dedicated button on the body, providing direct access to Canon Log 2, Canon Log 3, HLG, PQ, Canon 709, BT.709, and 14 additional user-assignable profiles.

Hybrid Functionality
This Canon EOS camera is ideal for the solo videographer, filmmaker, and photographer requiring hybrid versatility. It retains many of the still-imaging capabilities of the photo-focussed counterpart.
The electronic shutter enables continuous shooting at up to 40 fps along with the Pre-Continuous Shooting feature, where and additioal 20 frames are captured prior to the shutter button being fully pressed.
Dual Pixel CMOS AF II
The Canon EOS R6 V Mirrorless Camera features the Dual Pixel CMOS AF II system to provide rapid, responsive and precise autofocusing performance in both video and still applications. This system algorithm detects humans, animals, cars, and more to lock focus onto a selected subject and tracks their movement.
Some further advanced functions include multiple autofocus settings for still images and video. These include One-Shot, AI Focus, Servo, and Movie Servo AF. Phase-detection system with intelligent subject detection that recognises people, animals, and vehicles.
To assist in recognising individual persons in crowded spaces, you are able to register up to 10 persons in-camera using photographs to prioritise them.
Comprehensive Image Stabilisation
Coordinated Image Stabilisation combines the R6 V In-Body Image Stabiliser (IBIS) along with optical IS found in compatible Canon RF and RF-S lenses. This creates a multifaceted stabilisation system correcting up to 7.5 stops of camera shake when shooting in handheld orientations at the centre of the image for smooth and sharp video and still performance.
Further sensor-shift IS, you will have Movie Digital IS, a five-axis digital image stabilisation function that works together to move the recorded image across the CMOS imaging sensor to keep footage steady in unstable conditions.
Practical Design
Putting functionality first, the Canon R 6V is designed for video capture with a sleek, versatile body design. Featuring a built-in active cooling system that allows for two more hours of recording in 7K RAW Lite for longer productions.
At the back of the camera body, you will find a 3" 1.62m-dot vari-angle LCD touchscreen with the flexibility to film from any angle for a clear display.
On the camera body, you will find a power zoom lever for precise zoom control, a colour mode button that allows for rapid switching between colour profiles, and a tally lamp that provides you with a clear visual indication of when the camera is recording.
At the bottom and side of the body, you will find 1/4"-20 threads allowing you to mount the camera in a vertical or horizontal orientation.
Connectivity
The Canon EOS R6 V Mirrorless Camera features multiple connectivity options for your convenience. These include: dual memory card slots, USB-C 3.2 Gen 2 port (10Gb/s data transfer), and a full-size HDMI port supporting 7K ProRes RAW recording to compatible Ninja recorders.
The CFExpress Type B card slot is compatible with cards up to 8TB, allowing for high bitrate recording. The SDXC UHS-II slot can then be used for redundancy, sub recording, or proxies.
You will also find dual 3.5mm microphone jacks for audio input and headphone audio monitoring. Wi-Fi 5 and Bluetooth 5.1 for camera control, file transfer, and mobile app operation.
