    The Canon ES-22 Lens Hood is designed specifically for the EF-M 28mm f/3.5 Macro IS STM lens and prevents stray light from entering the lens, in order to keep unwanted glare from affecting your photographs. Additionally, the hood also prevents the white ring on the front of the lens from being reflected back into images, and a threaded front allows for mounting of 43mm filters.
