In terms of the optical design, ultra-low dispersion (UD) and Blue Spectrum Refractive Optics (BR) elements reduce chromatic aberrations for impressive clarity and colour accuracy. A special lens coating assists in reducing flare and ghosting for improved contrast.
This lens also excels in close-up photography due to the close 20cm minimum focusing distance and 0.19x maximum magnification.
