STM Autofocusing Motor
The Canon RF-S 3.9mm f/3.5 STM Dual Fisheye Lens is driven by a gear-type stepping motor (STM) with a dual-lens autofocus mechanism, that drives the left and right lenses in unison. Autofocus is as simple as focusing with an ordinary lens. The electronic focusing/control ring and the left-right focus difference adjustment switch enhance operation by allowing adjustment of the left-right focus differential.
Your autofocus will only operate on a subject within the image circle of the left lens and Servo AF is not available.
Portable and Lightweight Design
A design that is ideal for working in tight spaces is created with the RF lens mount and folded optical design. The compact and lightweight (289g) design makes the Canon RF-S 3.9mm f/3.5 STM Dual Fisheye Lens perfect for travel and easily fits in most bags.
Air Sphere Coating (ASC)
The RF-S 3.9mm Fisheye features Canon's ASC (Air Sphere Lens Coating) with which ghosting and reflections are noticeably reduced. With the ASC coating applied you will notice better contrast and more uniform colours in images, this is especially noticeable in difficult lighting conditions.
30.5mm Rear Filter Thread
The Canon RF-S 3.9mm f/3.5 STM Dual Fisheye Lens is designed to allow filters to be added, you will find a 30.5mm screw on filter thread to the rear of the lens along with a filter holder for cut gel and polyester filters.
