The Canon XA70 UHD 4K30 Camcorder is designed as a lightweight compact camcorder featuring UHD 4K with a 1" CMOS sensor, 2 XLR audio inputs as well as one mini-HDMI output.
The updated Canon XA70 features a larger 3.5mm LCD touchscreen display with higher resolution and is capable of being tilted with 0.36" OLED EVF, OSD metadata recording, and fast USB Type-C video-only output with UVC support for live streaming to a computer.
Lens optics features an integrated 15x HD optical zoom, a nine-blade circular iris as well as a DR gamma support.
Capable of recording EHD 4K30 and Full HD 1080p60 that captures dual SD card slots in XF-AVC and MP4 formats, also outputs to a mini-HDMI port. Capable of output up to 1920 x 1080p 10-bit 4:2:2 video at 59.94 fps via its mini-HDMI output.
Compact Professional UHD 4K Camcorder
With the Canon XA70 Camcorder, you are able to capture sharp UHD images thanks to a 1" CMOS 4K sensor as well as a DIGIC DV6 image processor. Oversampled HD delivers Full HD images from the 4K sensor.
On-Screen Display (OSD) "Time Stamp" Recording
OSD recording embeds timecode, date, time, and many more data onto the original camera files, basically timestamping information onto every frame of video.
UVC Livestreaming
With the Canon XA70, you are able to stream HD video directly from the camera via UVC1 to windows or macOS. Audio output through USB is not supported.
4K 15x Optical Zoom Lens
The Canon XA70 UHD 4K30 Camcorder with Dual-Pixel Autofocus features adjustable focusing speeds along with advanced Dual-Pixel CMOS AF to provide fast and precise focusing.
The ultrabright 3.5" LCD sets focus by touching the AF point as required. Face Detection AF and Face Tracking are available, while Manual Focus is set via the focus/zoom ring.
Fx-AVC and MP4 for Flexible Recording
You have the option of choosing between XF-AVC and MO4 recording formats. Record XF-AVC UHD 4K 160 Mb/s at 30P and Full HD 45 Mb/s at 60p/60i and 30/24p. For smaller files, record MP4 in 4K 150 Mb/s at 30/24p and Full HD 35 Mb/s or 17 Mb/s at 60/30/24p.
Professional Input and Output
The Canon XA70 UHD 4K30 Camcorder features output options including HDMI, simultaneous backup, relay recording via dual SD cards as well and Infrared mode.
Record 5x slow motion in Full HD or Fast Motion in 4K/Full HD up to 1200x. Using a custom picture menu you can colour match with other Canon cameras.
Professional Audio Options
You will find two XLR terminals on the detachable handle as well as a 4-channel linear PCM bring pro audio options.
