The Fujifilm X-M5 Mirrorless Camera is the ideal solution for the ambitious creator, eager to ditch the smartphone and elevate the quality of content creation. Featuring a 26.1MP APS-C X-Trans 4 CMOS sensor powered by an X-Processor 5 Image Processor.

The Fujifilm X-M 5 Mirrorless Camera offers an audio and video-friendly interface with a lens mount accepting the entire Fujifilm X-Lens Mount series. All this with Fuji's 20 acclaimed film simulations, the latest AI-driven subject detection autofocus and Fujifilm's timeless retro design, makes the X-M5 your ideal companion to transform the the way you create content.

    Bigger Sensor, Better Image

The Fujifilm X-M5 Mirrorless Camera feature a 26.1 MP X-Trans 4 CMOS sensor backed by an X-Processor 5. This sensor is more than 16 times that of an average smartphone sensor.
The X-Trans 4 delivers superior light-gathering, delivering richer colours, and more detail, along with better low-light performance.
A randomized pixel array mimics the organic nature of film while the larger APS-C sensor creates a shallower depth of field, delivering a deeper background blur and subject separation.

    Optimized Audio, 6K Video

The Fujifilm X-M 5 was designed to enhance all aspects of contemporary content creation, to excel in both audio and video capture. Featuring three built-in microphones and four sound capture modes (Surround, Front Priority, Back Priority, and Front & Back Priority). You will still find a 3.5mm microphone socket on the rear of the camera for further control over the soundscape, while in-camera algorithms enable both voice enhancements and environmental noise reduction.
Capable of delivering open-gate, 6.2K video at up to 29.97 fps, every pixel on the 3:2 native aspect ratio sensor works toward high-quality video.

    • Background Defocus mode blurs the background to focus on the camera's main subject.
    • Product Priority mode automatically switches focus to a product placed closer to the camera, ideal for reviews and demonstrations.
    • Portrait Enhancer mode applies skin-smoothening algorithms in Weak, Medium, and Strong options.
    • 9:16 Short Movie mode offers a cropped 9:16 vertical recording option in 15, 30, and 60 second options for internet-ready content straight from the camera.

    Film Simulations and Color Science

To reproduce several of Fujifilm's film types, the Fuji X M 5 is outfitted with 20 Film Simulation modes. The camera's true-to-life results can be interpreted with these modes.
Further to the Film Simulation modes, you will find a Grain Effect mode that replicates the look of old photos. Colour Chrome and Colour Chrome Blue effects are also available to deepen the colour, tonal response, and gradation with higher saturation colours.

    Design and Build

The Fujifilm X-M5 Mirrorless Camera is thus far the lightest and smallest X-Series camera, only weighing in at 355g and 112mm wide. Keeping to the retro design of the entire Fujifilm lineup, you will have a series of top dials to set mode, film simulation, and adjust settings. Being X-Mount, the XM5 is compatible with the entire Fujifilm X-Series lens.
On the rear, you will find a 3" articulating LCD touchscreen that is optimised for self-tapping. Ideal for content creators, you will find all ports and connectors located on the right side of the camera to avoid intolerance with the monitor. Microphone port is also moved from the side to the rear to allow for further accommodate accessories for content creation.
You will find built-in Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connectivity allowing for sharing images wirelessly, or you can use a mobile device to wirelessly operate the camera. Frame.io Camera to Cloud integration allows delivery of photos or video straight to the cloud moments after they're created.
