With a dedicated black and white sensor, the Leica M11 Monochrom Digital Rangefinder Camera focuses like no other on the market using the most basic photographic practices, solely through light and shadow.

The advanced multi-resolution full-format sensor was exclusively developed for the Leica M11 Monochrom. Raw files in the DNG format or JPEGs with a resolution of either 60,36 or 18 megapixels can be created. Along with a large ISO range of 125 to 200 000 for when working in difficult lighting conditions, the M11 Monochrom still provides for creative freedom when taking pictures.

The all-metal body featured on the M 11 Digital Rangefinder Monochrom from Leica as well as the high-quality aluminium employed on the top plate, sapphire glass display, solid leather body wrapping and black scratch-resistant paint.

An optimal mobile workflow can be created with the combination of the 256gb internal memory and the convenient connectivity to the Leica FOTOS app. The USB-C port as well as Bleutooth cna be used to quick and convenient file transfer.

60MP Full-Frame Black and White BSI CMOS Sensor

The Leica M11 Monochrom Digital Rangefinder Camera features a 60mo Full-Frame format Black and White back-illuminated BSI CMOS sensor. Also removing the colour filter array (CFA). Only monochromatic images can be produced, by only using luminance values for enhanced clarity, depth, and resolution.
With the use of CFA, the M11 Monochrom from Leica are able to achieve a higher sensitivity range of ISO 125 to 200 000.

    Triple Resolution Technology

Featuring Triple Resolution Technology where a unique pixel binning process allows you to choose from 60mp, 36mp or 18mp. With each resolution making use of the full sensor area and the lower resolutions seeing an improvement in dynamic range and noise levels.

    Maestro III Image Processor

The Maestro III processor contributes to fast processing, continuous shooting up to 4.5 fps, and the Triple Resolution Technology.

    M11 Series Imaging Improvements

The Leica M11 Monochrom Digital Rangefinder Camera features a electronic shutter permitting shutter speeds of up to 1/16000 sec, this is perfect for when shooting with faster f0.95 lenses without the need to make use of ND filters. Then the mechanical shutter still offers shutter speed support up to 1/4000 sec and flash sync at 1/180 sec.
still offers shutter speed support up to 1/4000 sec and flash sync at 1/180 sec.
Multi-field exposure metering is available in addition to spot and center-weighted average, which helps reduce the need to meter and then re-compose before shooting. Long Exposure Noise Reduction helps to reduce the appearance of noise but can also be disabled for faster saving times.

Monochrom Updates to a Traditional Rangefinder Design

The M11 Monocrom Rangefinder from Lieca is designed inspired by the original M Camera from 1954. The This classic and recognizable form prioritizes intuitive handling and shooting along with a sleek and minimalist appearance.

Lightweight aluminum top plate features a scratch-resistant black paint finish. The Monochrom version of the M11 has a revised appearance that, fittingly, removes all colour from the body design in favor of a stealth-like monochromatic aesthetic. The Leica Red Dot has been removed from the camera, the coating of the viewfinder has a dark chrome tint, the dial engravings are filled with white and gray paint, shutter and bayonet lock buttons are black, and there is a discreet MONOCHROM engraving on the top plate.

    Optical Viewfinder and Rear LCD

The optical viewfinder is a large and bright 0.73x-magnification rangefinder with automatic parallax compensation and bright-line frame lines, which are set to match the image sensor size at a focusing distance of 20cm.
On the front of the camera an viewfinder frame selector can be found to manually change varying focal length, by choosing 35mm/135mm, 28mm/90mm and 50mm/75mm.

Rear 2.95" 2.3m-dot touchscreen LCD features an updated design that is brighter for for improved visibility in sunny conditions. The LCD also features a durable, scratch-resistant sapphire glass cover.
Revised menu layout matches the Q and SL systems for more intuitive navigation and faster settings changes right from the first menu page.
Live view stabilization helps reduce the appearance of camera shake on the rear LCD or optional Visoflex 2; this electronic stabilization makes it easier to manually focus longer focal length lenses with greater accuracy.

On the this cameras like the M11, there is no removable base plate. The BP-SCL7 battery with a larger capacity inserts directly into the body on the base of the camera.
The M11 Monochrom from Leica now also features a revised accommodating a single UHS-II SD card slot. Also on the base you will find a USB-C port for charging and sharing photos.
Built-in 256GB memory means you can forgo using a memory card altogether, or use the internal memory in conjunction with an SD card to simulate having dual card slots for splitting file types or for overflow storage. Image files can also be transferred from the internal memory to the SD card for easy backup.

    Wired and Wireless Connectivity

The Leica M11 Monochrom Digital Rangefinder Camera offer flexibility in transferring photos form the camera to an external storage source.
