The Leica Summilux-M 28mm f/1.4 ASPH. Lens is a compact wide-angle lens that combines high-speed and excellent image quality, when utilised on your Leica M-Mount Mirrorless camera. Definitely a great lens for photojournalism, landscapes and architecture photography.
Boasting a fast f/1.4 aperture makes it extra ordinary as its ideal for shooting in low-light conditions, and still retains its sharpness and clarity regardless of the environment; and more defined vignetting can be noticed as its a wide-angle focal length lens. The lens excels in a variety of areas such as outstanding contrast which displays even in the finest details; extremely low distortion which is hardly noticeable; and a lens construction that consists of ten elements that are utilised to achieve exceptional performance, and 7 of them are used to correct colour. These elements are machined from glass types with anomalous colour dispersion (partial dispersion), while one of them has an aspherical surface; and perfect close-up shots: one of the elements towards the rear of the optical system is a floating element.
