    The Leica Summilux-M 50 f/1.4 ASPH. Lens offers the latest high-end technology built-in, while still keeping a compact and lightweight form factor offering flexibility and freedom when taking images.

    With a standard focal length of 50mm the new Summilux-M is well suited fro any application, characterized for its unmistakably high image quality. Featuring 11 aperture blades, ensuring exceptional rounder bokeh.

    The Leica Summilux-M 50 f/1.4 ASPH. Lens also features a reduced minimum focusing distance of only 45cm. The rotation angle of the distance ring is greatly expanded so that focusing will be precise over the entire setting range.

    The Leica Summilux-M 50 f/1.4 ASPH. Lens forms part of the bespoke Leica lens lineup. And is characterized by the exceptional high-speed performance that benefits both low-light use as well as greater control over depth of field.

    • Updated optical design is better tuned to newer high-resolution sensors and produces greater sharpness, resolution, and contrast.
    • One aspherical element minimizes spherical aberrations and distortion for highly accurate rendering.
    • New 11-blade diaphragm produces more visually round bokeh when working at middle aperture values.

    M-Mount Lens Design

    Beyond updated optics, the Leica Summilux-M 50 f/1.4 ASPH. Lens also features a refreshed external design matching other Summilux-M Mount lenses.

    • The minimum focusing distance is reduced to a notable 45cm, taking advantage of ameras that feature live view or when working with the Visoflex or Leica FOTOS app.
    • Integrated retractable lens hood design eliminates the need to carry an auxiliary hood.
    • Conventional M bayonet lens mount, with 6-bit encoding, enables using this lens on any M-mount rangefinder camera.
