The Nikon Z 6 III Mirrorless Digital Camera features a 24.5MP partially-stacked CMOS sensor which is complimented by the same EXPEED 7 processing unit found in the top-of-the-line Nikon Z8 and Z9 mirrorless cameras.

Internal 6K60 and 4K120 recording is available on the Nikon Z6 III Mirrorless Digital Camera, using full pixel readout 6K60p video can be recorded with continuous shooting, while 4K and Full HD recording are also possible in a variety of frame rates. Further, the Z6 3 incorporates the same 3.2" 2.1m-dot four-axis tilting touchscreen LCD as the top mirrorless cameras in the Nikon lineup making it easy to shoot from a variety of angles regardless of shooting vertical or horizontal.

The Nikon Z 35mm f/1.4 Lens offers a wide angle of view and a bright maximum aperture of f/1.4 for when working in difficult lighting conditions. With a compact and lightweight form factor, the Nikon Z 35mm f/1.4 Lens is the ideal walkaround lens.

Nikon Z6 III Mirrorless Digital Camera

    24.5MP Partially-Stacked CMOS Sensor

The Nikon Z6 III Mirrorless Digital Camera is the first ever Nikon to feature a partially stacked sensor to realize faster scans and readouts.
When working at the top end of the ISO range the sensor reduces rolling shutter and noise levels. The redeveloped sensor unlocks many flagship features to the Z6 3, like faster autofocus, a smoother EVF experience, faster continuous shooting speeds, and higher frame rates when shooting video.
Top shooting speeds with full AF/AE performance include 20 fps when shooting raw, up to 601 fps in JPEG, and 120 fps when shooting JPEG using DX crop. Up to 1000 can be buffered in burst with electronic shutter, meaning approximately 50 seconds continuously.
Electronic shutter affords a top shutter speed of 1/16,000 sec for working in the brightest conditions with wider apertures. Further, to keep up with the fast continuous shooting speeds, AF calculations is done at 120 fps.

    EXPEED 7 Image Processor

The sensor is well complemented by the same EXPEED 7 processing engine, to be found in the top-end Z8 and Z9 cameras, this opens speeds of approximately 10x than that of the predecessor in terms of fast AF speeds, bursts shooting rates, high buffer capacity, fluid video performance and all-round handling.

    493-Point Phase-Detection AF

The full sensor area of the Nikon Z 6 III Mirrorless Digital Camera along with the EXPEED 7 processor provides access to the Nikon flagship 493-point phase-detection AF system.
Astrophotography, concert and nighttime photography is greatly benefited by the inclusion of Starlight Mode which enables focusing down to -10 EV. With a native ISO of 64000, the Z 6 3 features the highest in the Nikon Z series of mirrorless cameras

Subject Detection with Deep Learning Technology

The Nikon Z6 III Mirrorless Digital Camera features algorithms and deep learning technology similar to that of the Z9 that also includes Subject Detection. The Z6 III are capable of recognising a variety of distinct subject types, from humans, animals, and even aeroplanes to bicycles.
Eye-Detection AF, specifically, has been tuned for improved accuracy and refined recognition of eyes in the scene, regardless of how small or large they are within the image frame, and can also be used in conjunction with custom Wide-Area AF for different subject shapes and sizes.

    More Beautiful Portraits

Furhter the partially stacked sensor, the Z6 III features a series of processing tools and shooting functions to improve portraits. These includes:

    • Portrait Mode: Produces portraits for skin with a natural texture and a rounded feel to images.
    • Rich Tone Portrait Mode: Captures vivid results while capturing the complexion of the subject while avoiding detail in the highlights.
    • Flat Monochrome Mode: Produces gentle gradations from highlights to shadows, which produces soft monochrome portraits.
    • Skin Softening: Slightly blurs the skin for a pleasing texture while retaining essential sharpness on eyes and hair. This mode can be applied to up to three subjects in the frame.
    • Manual White Balance: Control is more intuitive when making adjustments and Auto WB has also been optimised for humans.

    Pixel Shift Technology

Nikon Z 6III Mirrorless Digital Camera features pixel shift technology to produce ultra-high resolution images of up to 96 megapixels. This is created by slightly shifting the image sensor between shots - selectable between 4 and 32 shots per image. Images can then be merged in post for an image with enhanced resolution, texture and colour. Pixel Shift benefits archival, landscape, architecture, fine art, macro, and many more applications.

    Internal 6K60 and 4K 120 Recording

Further the exceptional imaging quality, the Nikon Z6III is equally capable for video. Matching the Nikon Z9 in terms of recording capabilities, also with a variety of resolution frame rates available up to 6K.
Using full pixel readout, 6K60p video can be recorded with continuous shooting, while 4K and Full HD recording is also possible in a variety of frame rates, including full-frame 4K recording at up to 120p and FullHD recording at 240p for slow-motion playback.

    N-RAW and ProRes RAW Video

Internal 12-bit raw recording at up to 6K 60p in N-RAW format is supported along with internal ProRES RAW HQ. Raw recording benefits colour grading and post flexibility by offering greater tonal and colour latitude that can also improve dynamic range.
Nikon's own raw format (N-RAW) produces smaller file sizes compared to other raw formats and is capable of creating MP4 proxies for a more efficient transfer and previewing. N-RAW recording is available at up to 5K at 60p and ProRES RAW at up to 60K and 30p.

    ProRes and H.265 10-Bit Recording

Internal recording is also supported with 10-bit colour and 4:2:2 sampling in the ProRes 422 HQ and H.265 codecs at 5.4K 30p and 5.4K 60p, respectively.

    Nikon's Brightest Viewfinder

By employing the 24.5MP Partially-Stacked CMOS Sensor along with the EXPEED 7 processor, the Nikon Z6 III Mirrorless Digital Camera features the brightest electronic viewfinder in the Nikon Z Series lineup. At 4000 nits your subject's details will be visible in even bright sunlight. The 5 760 000 dot resolution (also a first for Nikon) aids autofocus by showing the subject recognition block. The refresh rate is also upgraded to 120 fps for smoother, lifelike viewing.
Another first-of-its-kind in a mirrorless camera the the EVF which is compatible with a DCI-P3 colour gamut for approximating real-world colour when taking the shot.

    Four-Axis Tilting LCD

Featuring the same unique 3.2" 2.1m-dot four-axis tilting touchscreen LCD found on the Z9 as well as Z8 is better capable of supporting from high to low shots, regardless of shooting in a vertical or horizontal orientation. The user interface will also change, depending on how the camera is held.

    Body Design

The Z 6 III offers flexible saving options featuring a CFexpress Type b card slot along with a UHS-II SD slot. The CFexpress slot is well suited for intensive applications like 6K recording and high burst shooting. While the SD slot retains compatibility with the popular storage format.
Confident use in harsh climates is possible due to the premium weather sealing employed to protect against dust and moisture.
