The Olympus FL-900R is a high performance speedlight flash that features a powerful guide number of 58m at ISO 100, TTL functionality, 10fps burst, a video LED, and a dust, splash and freezeproof (10C) construction.
Powerful guide number of 58m. Versatile 14-200mm coverage
This high-power flash has a maximum guide number of 58m at ISO 100. By combining the TruePic image processor and TTL synchronisation technology, optimal lighting is produced. It covers an illumination angle of 24-200mm and 14-20mm when using a wide panel (35mm equivalent).
10-fps sequential shooting tracking performance
The FL-900R has the highest sequential shooting tracking performance in its class[1] at 10 fps[2]. Charging circuits optimised for NiMH batteries reduce charging time to approximately 2.5 seconds. The firing range has also been expanded to low intensity levels for enhanced tracking performance during high-speed sequential shooting.
Compact, lightweight flash that is dustproof, splashproof and freezeproof down to -10
The FL-900R is compact and lightweight, making it highly portable. Additionally, since it is dustproof, splashproof and freezeproof down to -10C like the OM-D E-M1 Mark II, E-M1, or E-M5 Mark II, using this flash with any of those cameras lets you shoot in a variety of severe environments.
Wireless flash commander function
This flash unit can be used for multiple-high-power-flash photography via wireless control. From the camera, you can adjust settings for up to 4 flash groups. The flash also comes equipped with a slave function. In addition, the FL-900R can be attached to the hot shoe of a camera and can be used as the master flash when using the commander function. An IR filter is included for when the commander light is not necessary. A commander function-compatible camera is required.
Compatible with Multi Mode
This FL-900R is compatible with Multi Mode for firing the flash multiple times during long exposures or bulb shooting to express subject motion.
Compatible with High Res Shot, Focus Stacking, and Focus Bracketing
This flash unit can be used with popular features on the OM-D E-M1 Mark II such as High Res Shot, Focus Stacking, and Focus Bracketing (Manual flash only).
Built-in LED light for videos
This unit is equipped with an LED light for video recording in darker areas using OM-D Movie. It can also be used as an AF illuminator.
