The Olympus M.Zuiko Digital ED 12mm f/2 lens is a fast 24mm equivalent prime lens for micro four thirds (MFT) cameras. The lens's wide 24mm equivalent focal length makes the lens ideal for landscapes, groupshots, product and select portrait style photography; while a fast maximum aperture of f/2 enables users to shoot sharp images handheld in almost any light, or control depth of field to emphasise their subject.All M.ZUIKO lenses are compatible with the entire range of OLYMPUS PEN and OMD cameras as well as other MFT cameras. Additionally, this lens is also officially compatible with DJI's Zenmuse X5, X5S, and X5R gimbals for use in drones and handheld gimbals such as the Osmo Pro/Raw.
Good low light performance and depth of field control
The lens features a super-fast maximum aperture of f/2, this enables the lens to transfer up to 8 times more light to the sensor than a conventional zoom lens at the same focal length, and enables the camera to capture sharp and blur free images, even in low/dim light. The large f/2 aperture, combined with the 7-blade aperture, also enables you to capture a shallow depth of field, which will enable you to isolate your subject from the background for visually striking images.
Special lens elements
The Olympus M.Zuiko Digital ED 12mm f/2 lens features an optical construction that includes two aspherical elements, one ED element, one super HR element. These elements work together to effectively reduce aberrations to provide sharp images.
Fast and near silent internal MSC autofocus system with manual override
A MSC autofocus system, along with an internal focusing design, provides quick, quiet, and precise focusing performance to benefit both still photo shooting and movie recording. Additionally, an MF clutch is used for fast changing to manual focus for more precise control.
Officially compatible with DJI's X5, X5S , and X5R gimbals
The Olympus M.Zuiko Digital ED 12mm f/2 lens is officially compatible with DJI's Zenmuse X5, X5S, and X5R gimbals for use in drones and handheld gimbals such as the Osmo Pro/Raw.
