The Olympus M.Zuiko Digital 25mm f/1.8 lens is a fast aperture 50mm equivalent prime lens for micro four thirds (MFT) cameras. The lens's 50mm equivalent focal length makes the lens ideal for portraiture, product and event photography; while a fast maximum aperture of f/1.8 enables users to shoot sharp images handheld in almost any light, or control depth of field to emphasise their subject.
Great low light performance and striking depth of field
The lens features a super-fast maximum aperture of f/1.8, this enables the lens to transfer up to 8 times more light to the sensor than a conventional zoom lens at the same focal length, and enables the camera to capture sharp and blur free images, even in low/dim light. The large f/1.8 aperture, combined with the 7-blade aperture, also enables you to capture a shallow depth of field, which will enable you to isolate your subject from the background for visually striking images.
Great optical performance
The Olympus M.Zuiko Digital 25mm f/1.8 lens features a optical construction that includes two aspherical elements and a ZUIKO extra-low reflection optical coating. These work together to effectively reduce aberrations and reflections to provide sharp images.
Fast and near silent internal MSC autofocus system with manual override
A MSC autofocus system, along with an internal focusing design, provides quick, quiet, and precise focusing performance to benefit both still photo shooting and movie recording. Additionally, an MF clutch is used for fast changing to manual focus for more precise control.
