Tough Body Construction

The Ricoh WG-80 Digital Camera features a sold airtight construction making it waterproof down to up to 14m for up to two hours (equivalent to IPX 8 or JIS Class 8). Further, it is also shockproof against falls from up to 1.6m, dust and freeze proof, and also crushproof against weights of up to 100kgf.

Exceptional Image Quality

Featuring a CMOS back-illuminated image sensor with high optical efficiency and approximately 16 effective megapixels that ensures high-sensitivity, low noise, and high-speed readout data signals. The imaging engine delivers a top sensitivity of ISO 6400. Some other features include Handheld Night Snap mode, which automatically captures several images of the same nighttime scene to produce a single, blur-free, composite image from them.

Underwater Shooting Mode

The Ricoh WG-80 Digital Camera features intelligent underwater shooting modes, which are programmed to optimize colour and contrast based on data from images captured. These modes create sharp, true-to-life images enhancing red shades lost in underwater photography. In these modes, the Flash Off + Flash On options enable you to effectively capture two images with a single shutter release, one with the flash and another without the flash.

5X Optical Zoom Lens with a 28mm Wide-Angle Coverage

High-performance, five-times optical zoom lens with a focal-length coverage from 5mm to 25mm (equivalent to approx. 28mm to 140mm in the 35mm format) to accommodate a wide range of scenes and subjects, including sweeping landscapes. You will also find an impressive minimum focus distance of just 1cm.

Full HD Movie Recording for Extended Shooting of High-Quality Movies

H.264 movie recording is employed in the WG80. You can capture high-quality, extended movie clips (1920 x 1080 pixels, 16:9 proportions) at a frame rate of 30 frames per second. You will also find slow-motion playback and an interval movie function. A micro-HDMI terminal (Type D) is also provided on the camera body for simultaneous output of Full HD movie clips and sound to external audio-visual devices.

Triple Anti-Shake Protection to Prevent Blurred Images in All Applications

• Pixel Track SR Mechanism: When recording still images, this advanced shake-reduction mechanism effectively compensates for camera shake by digitally processing affected images.
• Digital SR Mode: For shooting in low light conditions still shooting. This mode automatically raises the sensitivity up to as high as ISO 6400. This allows for slower shutter speeds.
• Movie SR Mode: This is designed to compensate for misalignment of images caused by camera shake through the use of software to produce blur-free images.

2.7" LCD Monitor with the Outdoor View Setting Mode

On the back of the Ricoh WG-80 Digital Camera you will find a 2.7" LCD monitor horizontally extended 16:9 proportions and about 230 000 dots. Perfect for outdoor environments, you will find an AR (Anto-Reflection) coating on the screen to keep glares and reflections on the monitor to a minimum for use in harsh sunshine.
