Video Interface

The Rode RODECaster Video All-in-One Production Console features nine mix-effect layers that can simultaneously display both preview and program views. Use two downstream keyers to toggle overlays and logo. 2 chroma-keyers toggle different backgrounds. Two media players can play simultaneous MP4 video, PNG/JPG photos, or WAV audio from an inserted microSD card.
Using the Rode RODECaster Video All-in-One Production Console multiview feature, you are able to visualize both program and preview, along with all live inputs with scene and media thumbnails, the audio mixer and channel status, recording/network/storage status as well as runtime, date, and time information. Non-destructive setup means the process can be done live or configured as a saved scene without interrupting the flow of your production.
Switch between six 1080p60 video sources—four HDMI and two USB-C—and create up to seven complex scenes with multiple layers of video, media, and graphics. Save these scenes and recall them with the touch of a button.

Audio Sources

On the RODECaster video, you will find 2 studio-grade combo XLR-1/4" jacks, equipped with low-noise, high-gain Revolution Preamps to ensure good quality capture from XLR microphones and instruments.
Digital USB-C ports can be used to connect other Rode devices. Other USB-C ports support 2-in/2-out multichannel outputs, mix-minus, and MFi protocols.
Rode series IV microphones with internal wireless receivers can be connected to the console, these include the Wireless GO II and Wireless PRO.
Aphex VoxLab audio processing equips the RODECaster Video with EQ, compressor, noise gate, high-pass filter, de-esser, Aural Exciter, Big Bottom, and Compellor effects per channel. Integrated preamps provide up to 75 dB input gain and -131.5 dBV equivalent input noise.

Intuitive Controls

The Rode RODECaster Video All-in-One Production Console features an intuitive control layout that prioritizes scene-based switching. On the front panel of the RODECaster Video, you will find a wide variety of controls specific to certain features.
Featuring automatic chroma-keying it is easy to replace backgrounds with media or live video inputs. Apply transparency to use the input in scenes or with various backgrounds. Choose between a blue and green screen with advanced controls.

Inspect Button

When the inspect feature is activated, you will have a snapshot of which video input is assigned to it as well as media graphics and layout on the integrated LCD screen.
Preview the button in your Multiview while maintaining the ability to instantly switch between sources.

Intelligent Auto-Switching

Hands-free switching is possible between video sources, making auto-switching seamless. By linking any audio input, to any video source, the RODECaster Video will automatically detect audio levels to auto switch enabling it to easily follow the conversation. This gives a natural feel as if a producer or technical director is in charge of the production.

Intuitive Streaming and Recording

Using an Ethernet connection, or the integrated Wi-Fi 6 connection you can stream directly up to 100Mb/s using RTMP to major platforms such as YouTube or Facebook Live. With the Rode RODECaster Video All-in-One Production Console, you are able to record directly to an external USB storage device, including isolated (ISO) for a more flexible postproduction workflow.

RODE Central

When connected to a computer, use the RODE Centre software to be able to adjust more advanced features of the Rode RODECaster Video All-in-One Production Console.
Scenes can be created using the remote control, configuring automatic switching based on audio inputs, mixing audio, and configuring streaming settings and profiles as well as adjusting advanced settings and customizations.

Custom Scene Builder

The Rode RODECaster Video All-in-One Production Console allows you to build a customised scene from scratch. For your keying backgrounds or video borders, you can select a RODE preset with default layouts and themes.
