    An intelligent and powerful video switcher with an integrated audio mixer would be the compact rack-mountable Roland XS-62S Video Switcher that features a user-friendly interface. The unit features a 6-chanel video switcher with an audio mixer and PTZ camera control capabilities for both on-site events or for permanent installations. The Roland XS-62S takes far less space and is quite easy to control from the front panel buttons and menu screen, or from a PC or Mac by using Realtime Remote Control Software, making this system the perfect solution as it covers a wide range of applications including presentation and performance and special event venues, classrooms for e-learning and basically any kind of live event.



    Video

    You can seamlessly switch 6 inputs including 3G-SDI, HDMI and Analog (RGB, Component and Composite) sources along with two still images stored in its internal memory with the powerful Roland XS-62S video switcher.

    Professional and Easy to Use Interface

    Quite easy and simple to use, as the Roland XS-62S features professional broadcast quality broadcast Crosspoint buttons that are backlit with brightness control for use in bright daylight or in dark environments. It’s also equipped with a dedicated menu screen and volume knobs in order to adjust audio which are both easy to access from the front panel.

    Switching Mode

    The Roland XS-62S is equipped with multiple switching modes to best suit the app.

    Dissolve Mode – This mode allows you to do video switching as well as composition with cross dissolve to the PGM bus, which is pretty simple to operate from the front panel and is suitable for a system where the user directly operates the main unit in a meeting space or event.

    PGM / PST Mode – This mode performs as a traditional video switcher with complete video compositions that enables grouping of multiple images on one screen. Compositions can be created by combining DSK for layering titles and graphics as well as the PinP inset of video. Compositions can also be previewd before sending to program on the Preview output and can be sent to Program by pressing the TAKE button. This mode also has an available AUX bus making it possible to output different video from the PGM bus and PST bus to an additional destination screen.

    Disolve Mode – Here you can output individual video input signals to three different destinations on three buses, being quite effective for routing signals, which is suitable for events and using multiple screens.

    Video Composition

    Besides all the traditional square or rectangle shapes, the PinP function can select circle, Heart and even diamond shapes. Then you have your Downstream Keyer function that allows you add overlay titles, lyrics, logos on top of composited video. Both luminance key (Black / White) and chroma key (Blue / Green) functions are made available.

    Multi-View Output

    View all six video outputs and two still images on the Roland XS-62S HD video switcher. PGM and PVW to a single preview monitor via the Multi-View output. Additionally, the also display the menu on the Multi-View screen in order to make the necessary changes without affecting the workflow.

    Audio

    The Roland XS-62S HD Video Switcher features a 18-channel audio mixer with preamp and dynamics that includes four TRS jacks, RCA stereo Pair, plus audio de-embed from the six video inputs.

    Smart Tally

    The unique and proprietary wireless tally system that Roland has incorporated, uses a wireless LAN router that’s connected to the XS-62S to send tally information to iOS or Android devices on the network.

    PTZ Control

    Here you can achieve multiple camera angles in the PTZ Control function and also allows you to control up to six PTZ cameras by using the VISCA protocol. Save and recall seven position settings for the individual cameras.

    Remote Control

    Make use of the easy-to-use software application XS-62S RCS which compatible with PC or Mac, in order to provide you with a setup and control information for the Roland XS-62S via the network port. This allows you to copy, store and recall memory (backup) and preset settings. The Roland XS-62S is also equipped with the RS-232 and LAN port for control and operation that’s controlled remotely via a touch panel or other programmable interface device.
