This Contemporary Line lens features a sleek and compact design that measures only about 70x72.5mm and weighting only 365g. This makes it portable and light enough for everyday shooting.
Featuring an internal focus design paired with a stepping AF motor provides fast, quiet and accurate focusing performance that is ideal for both still and video applications. The optical design of the Sigma 24mm f/2 DG Contemporary Lens includes three low-dispersion glass elements and three aspherical elements, designed for optimal sharpness and to limit distortion. The lens elements also include a Super Multi-layer Coating to control flare and reflections.
An impressive close focusing distance of just 24.5cm makes this lens ideal for working with close-up subjects. And the rounded 9-blade diaphragm contributes to a smooth and pleasing bokeh.

Sigma I Series Lens

The Sigma 24mm f/2 DG Contemporary Lens (L-Mount) forms part of the Sigma I series group of full-frame compatible lenses with the ideal mixture of performance and compactness for the mirrorless shooter. I Series lenses feature an all-metal design that also includes precision-cut aluminium parts on the barrel, which gives the lens an elegant finish that is also highly durable.
On the I Series lenses, you will find knurled aperture and focus rings along with an included knurled metal lens hood, further contributing to the pleasing tactile experience. I series lenses include both a conventional plastic lens cap as well as a magnetic metal lens cap for a more streamlined attachment method.
