The Sigma 28-105mm f/2.8 DG DN Art Lens is designed to be used with Full Frame Cameras with a Sony E-Mount.
On the lens barrel, you will find two assignable AF-L buttons that can be programmed based on your shooting needs. A zoom lock switch prevents the lens from accidentally extending and the aperture ring is lockable with a click/de-click function that enables smooth adjustments to prevent unintentional value changes.
Optical Design
The Sigma 28-105mm f/2.8 DG DN Art Lens features 18 elements in 13 groups. These include a total of two F Low Dispersion (FLD) and one Special Low Dispersion (SLD) element that drastically reduces chromatic aberrations and colour fringing throughout the zoom range, all to improve clarity and colour accuracy. Five aspherical elements control spherical aberrations and distortion for increased sharpness and accurate rendering.
The Sigma 28-105mm Art Lens features a water and oil-repellant coating on the front lens element to minimise liquids and oil from sticking to the glass.
Additional Lens Benefits
The front lens element features an 82mm filter thread. The barrel near the mount is constructed from magnesium instead of aluminium to benefit the lightweight design of the lens and reduce fatigue while shooting handheld.
