The Sigma 35mm f/1.2 DG II Art Lens (L-Mount) is designed to be used with camera bodies featuring the full-frame L-Mount lens mount. This wide-angle prime features a maximum aperture of f/1.2, making it a notable fast prime wide-angle lens this is ideal for any shoot, even in the darkest of scenes. The wide field of view makes it useful in a broad spectrum of environments, including landscape, street, documentary, and photojournalism.
The Sigma 35mm f/1.2 DG II Art Lens is powered by Sigma's dual HLA (High-response Linear Actuator) focusing system for fast, quiet and precise autofocusing without sacrificing portability. The Sigma 35mm is no longer for photography alone, with lens elements arranged to reduce focus breathing, making it ideal for professional videography as well.
The optical design combines four double-sided aspherical elements and one Special Low Dispersion (SLD) element, all of which ensure clarity from wide open at f/1.2 throughout the aperture range. All while still reducing overall size. A total of 17 elements in 13 groups, as well as an 11-blade rounded diaphragm for expressive bokeh.
On the front lens element, Sigma has applied a water- and oil-repellent coating enabling use in harsh outdoor environments. Further, the lens coatings, the construction ensure that internal elements are protected.
Improved Design
The Sigma 35mm f/1.2 DG II Art (L-Mount) is designed to be used with camera bodies featuring the full-frame L-Mount lens mount. Further upgrading the optical performance in the second iteration of this popular lens, you now have a lens body that is aproxomately 30% lighter and 20% shorter.
