The Sigma 35mm f/1.4 DG II Art Lens for L Mount is designed to be used with full-frame mirrorless cameras with the Leica L lens mount. The Sigma 35mm II improves on its predecessor, one of the most versatile lenses in the Sigma lineup. The new iteration features smaller, lighter, and optically refined features to upgrade on the predecessor. With it being smaller and lighter, it features a more portable design, new optics, a new AAC coating, and improved focusing.
The Sigma 35mm f/1.4 DG II Art Lens, with its 35mm focal length, is one of the most versatile focal lengths. With a standard wide-angle field of view, this lens is suitable for a broad range of subjects from landscapes to portraits and street scenes. This, combined with a bright f/1.4 maximum aperture, allows for the ability to work in a variety of lighting conditions and a shallow depth of field for selective focus effects.
This second generation of the 35mm from Sigma employs four aspherical elements and two SLD elements, which assist in suppressing various spherical and chromatic aberrations for high sharpness, low distortion and accurate colour reproduction. The newly developed AAC (Advanced Amorphous Coating) includes a low-refractive-index amorphous layer to reduce flares, surface reflections, and ghosting for better contrast and colour fidelity. Additionally, an 11-blade rounded diaphragm produces a rounded-out-of-focus highlight and overall clean, natural image quality.
The Sigma 35mm f/1.4 DG II Art Lens features a high-thrust dual HLA (High-response Linear Actuator) that offers quick, fast and accurate focusing performance that is well-suited for both still and video applications.
The front element of the lens features a water- and oil-repellent coating to make it easy to clean the lens. The entire lens is dust- and splash-sealed for reliable use in inclement weather conditions. Included with the Sigma 35mm f/1.4 DG II Art Lens is a petal-type lens hood with a locking mechanism for a more secure attachment.

Dual HLA-Driven AF
The Sigma 35mm f/1.4 DG II Art Lens features a high-thrust dual HLA (High-response Linear Actuator) that offers quick, fast and accurate focusing performance that is well-suited for both still and video applications.
The HLA quickly moves the focus group for fast switching and nimble tracking of fast-moving subjects. A floating design maintains consistent sharpness.
Portable Design, Updated Operability
The front element of the lens features a water- and oil-repellant coating to make it easy to clean the lens. The entire lens is dust- and splash-sealed for reliable use in inclement weather conditions.
