Sigma Macro 70mm f/2.8 EX DG Art Lens (Sony E)

    R 10,995.00

Enjoy breath-taking and razor-sharp images with the all new mid-telephoto range Sigma Macro 70mm f/2.8 EX DG Art Lens, that's compatible for both full frame and APS-Crop Sony E-Mount cameras and ready for 50+ megapixel sensors. A long-awaited macro lens has now arrived with impressive optical performance, whereas previous Sigma lenses has lacked this function of producing incredible clarity.

Improved specs and features of the Sigma Art Lens include a large f/2.8 aperture to produce impressive bright images with attractive bokeh all thanks to its rounded 9-blade diaphragm, the coreless DC motor to produce enhanced image quality while an optimized algorithm helps deliver an extremely smooth autofocus, the optical system incorporates two FLD glass elements, two SLD glass elements and one element with a high rate of anomalous partial dispersion which all contributes to a better resolution when photographing up close subjects and minimised flare and ghosting even when shooting in backlit conditions.

    Design Prioritizing Optical Performance

The Sigma Art Lens features an extending, floating and a two-group focus mechanism to produce top-level performance which helps to reduce the aberration, in order to produce optimal results at any focus distance, it also include two FLD glass elements, two SLD glass elements and one element with a high rate of anomalous partial dispersion to effectively reduce axial chromatic aberration.

Designed to Minimise Flare and Ghosting

Sigma has incorporated a Super Multi-Layer Coating in the 70mm f/2.8 DG Macro lens, that helps reduce the flare and ghosting when photographing images, even when shooting in backlit conditions. Photographers will appreciate this as it contributes to high quality and razor-sharp images.

Focus-by-wire System for Comfortable and Precise Focusing

Sigma has packed advanced features in the 70mm f/2.8 lens such as the focus-by-wire system that removes the direct mechanical connection between the focus ring and the focus drive system. A brand new coreless DC motor that allows you to adjust the focus with optimal speed and low noise has also been incorporated which is required for macro photography.

Fast Autofocus with Full-Time Manual Focus

The lens can easily be switched to manual focus by simply rotating the focus ring, all thanks to its full-time manual focus function.

    Weather-Sealed Construction

The Sigma Macro 70mm f/2.8 Art lens features rubber sealing that helps protect the mount from dust and water drops.

    Rounded Diaphragm

The Sigma lens features a rounded 9-blade diaphragm that creates attractive bokeh in the out-of-focus areas of the image.

    High-precision, Rugged Brass Bayonet Mount

An exceptional durable lens is all thanks to its brass mount which combines high precision with a rugged construction.
