The SmallRig Multifunctional Teleprompter for Tablets and Cameras allows you to easily record scripted content with your mirrorless camera or tablet. Use the included tablet clamp to accommodate devices up to 11" wide, or the back clamp and silicone lens covering can accommodate lenses with outer diameters of between 22 and 95mm.
The glass prompting surface, adjustable top flag, and 4 x 5.65" filter frame all work seamlessly together ensuring text is well visible from up to 4.9m away.
How Does a Teleprompter Work
A normal teleprompter setup basically consists of a camera, mirror, and monitor. The mirror works like a two-way glass mirror that is positioned directly in front of the camera lens where text is reflected on the mirror without affecting the lens.
This then allows the newscaster or presenter to maintain eye contact the lens/audience.
The Mirror
The mirror is particularly transparent like the two-way mirror you see used in security applications (just much better quality).
It’s designed to reflect the script on one side while allowing the camera to see through it from the other without capturing the reflected text.
