    The Sony ECM-VG1 Short Shotgun Microphone provides a strong and clean output signal ideal for any professional video shoot from documentaries to event video shoots. Due to the light weight of the Sony ECM-VG1 Short Shotgun Microphone, it can be mounted on your camcorder or on a boompole without having a big impact on the weight of your rig.

    With a supercardioid polar pattern, the ECM-VG1 provides maximum directivity and minimal noise. Clear voice pickup is made possible, even in noisy environments. Running on 40 to 52 VDC phantom power, this makes this microphone is compatible with a wide variety of professional camcorders, field recorders, and many other devices. You will also find a furry windshield in the box for use in outdoor environments creating sound pickup with less wind noise.

    Furry Windshield

    In the box you will find a specially designed furry windshield with an internal frame designed to fit the ECM-VG1. This creates a space between the windshield and the microphone, this helps to achieve up to 20 dB of wind noise reduction.
