The lens design consists of two XA (extreme aspherical) elements to ensure that it takes advantage of the short mirrorless flange-back distance, resulting in stunning contrast and resolution. With further technology to ensure superior optical quality and performance - the lens also includes an ED (Extra-low Dispersion) glass element to effectively suppress chromatic aberration, Sony's Nano AR Coating II to maintain superb image clarity throughout the focal range.
