    The Sony FE 600mm f/4 GM OSS Lens features an extremely large, super-telephoto zoom lens that combines a large focal length, with fast and accurate autofocus in a tremendously lightweight body. Ideal for professional photographers to travel with when capturing wildlife out in the Safari, sports photography and more. The fixed focal length FE 600mm f/4 GM OSS Lens from Sony can be used to capture impressive portraits from a mile away and still achieve superior image quality with sharpness from edge-to-edge.

    Core features to this extremely lightweight Sony FE 600mm f/4 GM OSS Lens includes two XD Motors which is used to achieve extremely fast, accurate, and tenacious autofocus; large XA (Extreme Aspherical) elements and three fluorite elements are also incorporated to suppress chromatic aberration which is something that usually occurs in most super-telephoto lenses; an 11-blade circular aperture that adds to the beauty of its smooth, creamy bokeh; extra reach can be achieved with the 1.4x/2.0x teleconverters; Nano AR Coating has been implied to minimise internal reflections so that the lens is highly resistant to flare and ghosting; fluorine front element coating which is used to prevent water, oil, and other contaminants.

    Full-time DMF is when the manual focus engages, a switch thats been merged into the rigid magnesium alloy construction. The switch can be turned on to correct the focus when autofocus targets the wrong subject; the lens also provides a fast switching from full-frame to APS-C Format; and for a large focal length lens it can provide smooth power focus which is useful for executing smooth pull focus effects when recording videos.

Additionally, Mode 2 delivers ideal Stabilisation for panned shots, while Mode 3 offers enhanced viewfinder stabilisation that enables easier framing of erratic sports or wildlife movements.
    • Natural, Linear Manual Focus Response ensures that the focus ring responds directly and linearly to subtle control when focusing manually.
    • Four Customisable Focus Hold Buttons are also to be found in four locations of the lens construction. The hold buttons can easily be customised via a camera menu that allows assignment of other functions, such as the Eye AF.
    • Smooth Power Focus which is quite useful for executing smooth pull focus effects when recording videos/filming movies.
    • A Focus Range Limiter for Faster Focus this makes it possible to limit the lens autofocus range to 4.5 through 15 meters, 15 meters to infinity, or to allow full-range autofocus with no limit. All of this said can boost up the autofocus on some situations by preventing the lens from focusing unnecessary on subjects outside the target range.
    • The lens construction also features a slide-in filter slot, that accepts the standard 40.5mm ND and even other filter types, as well as the optional VF-DCPL1 circular polarising filter.
