The Swarovski 8.5x42 EL SV Binoculars are a versatile set of optics providing you with a large field of view with edge-to-edge sharpness. The 4.9mm exit pupils ensure bright images in poorly lit conditions.
The Swarovski 8.5x42 EL SV Binoculars feature groundbreaking technology with the employment of a field flattener offsetting the curvature of the field of view and edge-to-edge sharpness. This means the complete image stays sharp all the way to the edges.
All lenses are coated with a special Swarovski coating that, the combination with the inert gas filling, ensures colour fidelity and clarity.
Optical Performance
To ensure maximum comfort and versitility, a typical 8.5 magnification provides slightly more magnification without sacrificing field of view, eye relief, or exit pupil. Then, the 42mm objective lens ensures an overall compact form factor with good low-light performance needed for hunting and birding.
The wide 60° apparent angle of view presents an immersive observational experience without the need to move your head from side to side to take in the whole scene before you.
SWAROVISION Details
The Swarovski 8.5x42 EL SV Binoculars feature fluoride glass that virtually eliminates chromatic aberration for improved colour rendition, resolution and contrast.
Also features groundbreaking technology with the employment of a field flattener offsetting the curvature of the field of view and edge-to-edge sharpness. This means the complete image stays sharp all the way to the edges.
Multiple optical coatings are applied. These include, SWARODUR outer coating reduces scratches and abrasions, SWAROBRIGHT coatings for contrast, brightness, and colour fidelity and SWAROTOP coatings on the lenses and prisms reduce light reflections, improving brightness and contrast.
Use and Handling
The open bridge design offers a better grip for convenient use over longer periods. A large centre focusing wheel offers a slip-resistant design, making it easy to use when wearing gloves.
A ±5 right-eye dioptric correction enables you to compensate for individual optical prescriptions for tack-sharp images.
Twist-up eyecups make it easier to use with or without eyewear.
4.9mm exit pupils will completely cover pupils when they are open and fully dilated in low light, ensuring the entire scene stays in view without vignetting.
Construction
The Swarovski 8.5x42 EL SV Binoculars feature a bridge design to reduce overall weight while still maintaining strength and stability.
The entire body is constructed from magnesium alloy with a green rubber armour coating for overall protection while providing a convenient slip-resistant grip.
The EL binoculars are nitrogen-filled for fogproof performance, this is specifically ideal for moving through extreme ptemerature changes and environmental conditions.
