    The Tamron 17-70mm f/2.8 Di III-A VC RXD Lens also features a VC Image Stabilisation that helps reduce the appearance of camera shake, especially when photographing handheld. The RXD (Rapid eXtra-silent stepping Drive) motor that delivers a fast, quiet and smooth focusing performance, making the 17-70mm ideal for both still and video applications.

    Incorporated into the lens is a variety of special elements that effectively correct distortion and spherical aberrations to achieve exceptional sharpness and accurate rendering, along with elements to reduce colour fringing and chromatic aberrations.

    Fast, Quiet, and Accurate Autofocus Performance

    A powerful RXD (Rapid eXtra-silent stepping Drive) autofocus motor that delivers a really fast, quiet and smooth autofocus performance that is ideal for both still and video applications. The stepping motor ensures that photographers can capture fast movement photography, and is also great for both photo and video applications. Additionally, the focusing system allows a really close focusing distance of 19cm with a maximum magnification of 0.21x.
